incorrect statement by 'thebigbang' as Dromid have beaten Templenoe in the county league and they also lost 3 games in the south kerry league

Will the semifinals be played in two weeks time as fixed? Surely the senior Co Championship will take precedence.

Ok it looks like the Junior championship semi finals are back on the agenda, Dromid & Duagh up first on Oct 19th with Glenbeigh & Brosna early Nov depending on MidKerry in the co champ. Bookies going for Dromid & Glenbeigh to make the final however don't be surprised to see Brosna there!!!!!

I cant see why Glenbeigh cant play this weekend. Why penalise Brosna cos Mid Kerry are in the county final? And the winners of the Dromid-Duagh game will have to wait at least 3 weeks with no game then to play the final.

I'm sure Glenbeigh would rather be playing next weekend, as a result of Midkerry doing so well in the co championship Glenbeigh have not trained or played together for weeks. If anything it's Glenbeigh who have been penalised more than anyone.

Seems Declan won't be playing in this tie due to the condition of his knees.

Brosna v Glenbeigh will be an enthralling encounter some fantastic young players by both sides Brosna have made some serious improvments in the last couple of years as have glenbeigh promoted to division 1 but for me i think brosna have a real good chance here everyone tipping glenbigh but brosna are no bad side bet tempelnoe on the way to this so proves a very good side Verdict- Brosna close but i have a felling they may pip it Dromid v Duagh i can only see one clear winner to this game and thats Duagh with Maher back in the fold they are a new side there division 5 form has been bad this year but they love the championship this north kerry side. Dromid on the other hand have no star man to come back no Declan no Thomas Curran and am hearing another key back Kevin O Shea cant see them doing it but dromid love being wrote off and sometimes never given the credit they deserve for a small club but for me county league form going bad and fighting for divison 3 survival i have to tip Duagh for this reason!

Declan O'Sullivan and Thomas Curran are injury doubts for Dromid while Kieran Quirke is unavailable for Duagh, Big players missing out, this game will be a very tight encounter

Brosna vs Glenbeigh should be a great game two very talented teams going toe to toe Glenbeigh's county players to make a difference Would have said said dromid to beat duagh but according to previous posters they have a number of key players out maher should be a massive boost for the mall and could see them over the line

I pressume the loser of the final dromid were only suspended for 2 years isnt that right?. so they will be allowed play in munster championship. derrytresk of tyrone were suspended for 5 years and are in this years junior county final

Dromid Pearses cop three-year ban for Derrytresk brawl by @conorheneghan1 Email author Email button
Dromid Pearses cop three-year ban for Derrytresk brawl Although not as harsh as the five year ban imposed on Derrytresk, Dromid Pearses have been taken aback at a three year ban for their role in the now infamous All-Ireland club semi-final brawl last month.
Judging by the raft of suspensions and fines meted out by the Central Hearings Committee (CHC), the Kerry club were deemed to have been the lesser of two evils in the ugly scenes that marred the All-Ireland Junior Club semi-final in Portlaoise last month.
It takes two to tango, however, and as a result, the club have been hit with a ban that will prevent them from playing at provincial or national level for the next three years.
In a more positive development for Dromid, they have had a fine of €2,000 reduced by half, while none of their three players sanctioned for their involvement in the violence on the day – Donal O’Sullivan (three months), Denis O’Sullivan (eight weeks) and Colm O’Connor (four weeks) – will appeal the suspensions handed down to them.
Commenting on the punishment, Dromid chairman Mike Sheehan told the Irish Examiner he thought it was a harsh penalty to have to pay.
"I assume we will be appealing but we have no official recommendation yet," he said.
"We have to schedule a club meeting. It does seem severe enough."
Dromid's ban follows on from the five-year ban for Derrytresk, suspensions for eight of their players and a 48-week ban handed out to a supporter alleged to have struck Kerry star Declan O'Sullivan with a handbag.
With both clubs reportedly considering making appeals to the Central Appeals Committee and even the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA), however, we mightn't have heard the last of this one yet.

Brosna had a good win against Currow in a challenge game and play Tarbert in the North Kerry Champ on Sunday, great preparation for their clash with Glenbeigh. On the other hand Glenbeigh haven't trained or played together for weeks due to MidKerry's involvement in the championship, with the county final replay on next week another week of disruption for Glenbeigh. Still going to be a close game but Brosna's better preparation could see them through.
