The lads from this year's panel who are underage for minors ago next year Mark O’Connor Gavin White Stephen O’Sullivan Jack Morgan Brian Ó Seanacháin Andrew Barry Jason Foley Conor Geaney Will be a useful starting point for the 2015 Minors thread. Eoin O Brien - sub goalie for Munster Final also under next year plus a few others that were in and out of the group this year particularly for training games. Aren't we a greedy bunch, just won the first for 20 years and already plotting a double, hell why not repeat the glory of three in a row from the 1930's. Yes you are right - one at a time and let's enjoy this one for a while before Turing out thoughts to the 2015 squad. Decent team there next year . Aidan O'Connor (Dingle) Cian O'Mhurchu (An Ghaeltacht) Kieran Lynch (Ballydonoghue) DJ Murphy (Gneeveguilla) David Roche (Milltown/Castlemaine) John Foley (Kilgarvan) Eoin O'Sullivan (St.Michaels, Foilmore) Evan Cronin (Spa) Diarmuid Keating (Skellig Rangers ) Adam O'Dwyer (Waterville) Pat Spillane (Templenoe) Jack Foley (Ballydonoghue) Jack Goulding (Ballyduff) Billy Courtney (Dr.Crokes) Dean Fitzgerald (Rathmore) Daniel O'Brien (Glenflesk) Ciaran O'Connor (Gneeveguila) Sean O'Shea(Kenmare) Mike Boyle(Dingle) Gearoid Savage (Kerins O'Rahillys) David Clifford (Fossa) David Naughton(Dr.Crokes) to name a few .

I think the proposed age restriction for minors (u16's intelligible) will apply in 2015 - they only lifted it as panels were already in training for 2014. That would rule our young Clifford from Fossa for another year.

I think Shane Ryan has a great future ahead of him . If he can avoid injury and if he keeps going the way he is he will be playing with the Seniors in 2 or 3 years . He is going to be better than Kelly or Kealy . Brian Begley looks like a good prospect give him a couple of years at u21 level . Tom O'Sullivan had a solid year at corner back . Barry O'Sullivan and Mark O'Connor look like good prospects . Mark is underage again next year . A cousin of Tommy Doyle . Matthew Flaherty looks like a young Donnacha Walsh . Killian Spillane and Michael Burns should make it . If you could get 5 or 6 of that team you would be doing well . Not many of them underage next year . It will be almost a whole new team . I am convinced 5 or 6 of the team will become serious Kerry senior footballers

Nacrocaigh that's the U16 County Championship is it? Yeah very badly run competition this year not a trace of it on the Kerry GAA website either. I understand that that East Kerry team (perhaps different players now) lost badly to Feale Rangers in U14 County Championship two years ago who went on to get hammered themselves by Eoghan Ruadh in final.anybody else know about that competition this year?

You're right no reports on the Kerry gaa website . I think they don't report enough on Underage Football . They could do a lot more . I look at other County websites and I see a lot of underage reports .

Fixtures and results were on Kerry GAA website. No reports, but reports for underage games are rare as you note. East Kerry we're favourites for the competition from the outset with Eoghan Rua considered the big threat. ER lost in QF I think and it was East Kerry's to lose thereafter. Big win yesterday but the scores came late in the game. Big Crokes contingent on East K team as you would expect (strong at this age) with a good number of the u16 development squad also on display.

The difference was that in the U14 County Champ. teams are only allowed play 14 year olds where as at U16 your allowed play 15 and 16 year olds giving teams the advantage of having the pick of an extra age group.

Gaaddiction that's true yeah but would you not think the divisions would have the strong enough players from the U16 age group alone?

Some regions would be badly stuck for numbers without the 15 year olds! I think it makes it that bit more competitive!

I really think Billy Courtney could be Mark O Connor's partner in midfield next year got man of the match in U16 County Championship final last week. I'd say he's about 6'3 and very skilful finished up with 5 points in that game

I have watched Billy Courtney since he was u12s with Crokes and he just gets better and better . Hes a cert for the Minor team either Midfield or Full Forward . David Naughton and Gavin White should be there too from Crokes .

Michael O Donnell (Austin Stacks) Brian O Seanachain and Jason Foley (Ballydonoghue) would be ranked above him in terms of next year

Only two u17 nailed down places this year - would expect Billy Courtney to make the panel but Na Crocaigh is pushing it having him as a cert for the first 15. No doubting BC's ability but Jack has a lot to choose from. The three mentioned by GaaAdiction will all push for a place also - the latter two were part of the official extended panel this year I think. I think we should have a strong team again in 2015.

I dont mean the take anything from his Man Of the Match Award but judging on the scoreline East Kerry won by, anyone could have got it! I do think hes a good footballer but he lacks pace and thats a massive requirment if you want to play at the level Inter County football has gone to! So personally I cant see him making it the year coming, I may be wrong.

In my Opinion hes good enough to be on . Ye can knock him if ye want but we will see what Jack thinks of him . Easy on - no desire to "knock" BC. I hold him in high regard and think he is a fine footballer. Have seen him play from u10's for club, school, district and county and rarely seen him play a poor game. Just saying that competition will be tough and there are few dead certs in my opinion. Not sure if the lack of U17's was due to the strength of the u18's or is it a more fundamental approach from Jack in believing that the year makes a difference at the top level. We are fortunate in the crop of players coming though and I think we have some serious players in the pipeline.

If it was sarcastic it would have included a smiley, or exclamation mark. Just stop bringing up young fella's names here and then you won't see those same young fella's have their games/talents critiqued. Quit crying and trying to be a smarta$$,just let the 15 and 16 year olds enjoy their football without some know it alls dissecting their talents on the internet!
