I suppose Billy was all riled up because he thought they had "proved their critics wrong" last Sunday. But the thing is they haven't, if they win on the 16th they will have though. I don't know what his problem with O Cinneide is, he's always been fair to Cork I think. Sure he tipped us to win last Sunday.

I think billy morgan is the jose murinho of the gaa at the moment. Doesnt mind making a fool of himself to create a seige mentallity that might help his players. In fairness to billy he brought cork on an awful lot and hes blooded a load of younggsters which is good for the future of cork football.

I like billy, i know most kerry people dont but think he is a great gaa man and so what if he goes over teh top sometimes? football would be a lot poorer without the red faced silver haired fox on the sideline

You won't need to. I suppose they will let him down near the pitch this time. Although, I'm sure you might know one or two Cork people who might like a ticket for the big day in Croke Park.

It's hard to know. I haven't decided either way yet. Chances are I will shout for ye against Dublin, but I'm not sure I actually want ye in the final, if that makes sense. Either way, I won't find it easy to get tickets... irrespective of not missing a championship match in 4 years, and going to league games and McGrath cup games, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.... I still booked the train and at the moment I am asking everyone to keep my daughter and I in mind when it comes to tickets.

Joan, I'm sure if you sat behind a dug out even in a junior B match the manager might appear a bit nuts...

Joan, it's not me being a politician. I'm in a no win situation, if I agree with things he does or says ye will have no respect for my opinion because it would be like I was incapable of looking at things logically. If I disagree with things he does or says, I'm going against one of our own and that isn't on either. I'm trying to stay neutral in the situation.

owen we would always respect your opinion your a corkman on a kerry fourm enough said... I an asking you to show you hand just taking the piss. I still in my opinion think the man is nuts... I feel sorry for the cork players and fans who would have to defend his actions and utter rudeness. A better man would just have walked away and smiled at a great win and watching the critics eating humble pie...

Fair enough Joan, I have similar feelings of bemusement towards our Billy Boy. But you will notice how all the attention is on him and not the players (with the obvious exception of Noel O'Leary - why is it always billy and Noel). This is a clever tactic from Billy. taking all the flak from the press and the public, easing the pressure on his players. It reminds me of Jose Mourinho when Chelsea first won the league under him a few years ago.
I am just for Billy to come out with "I would love it if we beat them in the final, love it..."

It would be more melodic though:
"I'd love it like if we bate them, love it lads.....and you can tell that to Michael Lyster up there in that box of his".

What if Billy outburst turns into a nightmare: If all of the media lavished all of the attention and praise on Cork and said Dublin or Kerry are terrible.
I mean they should say that Corks displays against Sligo and Louth were prototypes on how to play the game...
What would Billy say then? Would he happy!!

Billy will never be completely happy while Kerry have won more than Cork. He's a Crokman, and proud of it.
"He's simply the best, Better than all the rest ..."

Some times you have to say whats right even if its against one of your own. I think you should clarify where exactly you stand on Billy. I know where I would like to stand on him ;D

You stole my line! Aul Billser wants to stoke up a big "siege mentality" for the Rebs before the final, and he's doing a good job. I've no problem with him at all, but if we get through to the final, he will become one of the enemy, and fair game for all kinds of wind-up & psychological warfare
