Could someone kindly send me a PM with a description of the envelope the ticket comes in? I don't understand why there has to be a physical ticket - I don't live in Kerry and this is causing a bit of nuisance. Fair point - would help make life difficult for the skelpers and touts if tickets were electronic and one simply scanned a barcode on a mobile phone to gain entry. Like getting on a plane or going to the cinema. I think a print-at-home ticket - like the big championship games all year - is the way to go.

308. Not as good as last year, but last year I was on the halfway line.

its seems that the season tickets are all over the place. You would have thought they were all in the same place.

I know and understand that, but there is quite a difference between 302, 309 and 305.

Do Season tickets come from a central pool or from a county allocation?

I think there is a maximum per county but it is managed centrally.

How many season ticket holders are there (Kerry)? About 2500. Are these published? Because I've seen a few figures banded about. Thought we'd have a bit more than 2500. Poor showing with our record of reaching All-Irelands finals. Surely everyone who's interested in knowing, knows about the season ticket by now.

Yea I saw figures last year and also the County Board gave that figure just before the Munster Final while they were excusing the rotten stand tickets we got.

I thought i read here on the forum that kerry had 1850 season tickets. Might be wrong. However for the ordinary true supporter who can make it to max 5 league games the seaon ticket is the way to go. The joy of winning the semi final is multiplied by ten with the realisation that the ticket for the final is already in the bag. One is then free to enjoy the run up to the final without having to scrounge, beg, plead and no fella promising "I'll do my best for you" and you knowing deep down that he'll be avoiding you from then until after the final.Sweats palpitations then during the last few days or hours until eventually the ticket will appear or as was the case often enough the realisation that you wont be going to the All Ireland final.
What makes things worse then is the knowedgle that the Sargent, the Garda, the Solicitor, the Bank manager and his wife are going and it will be their first match seeing that year.
Experienced that several times dowm through the years.
Imagine my joy this morning then.
Opened the envelope...drum roll please...and the ticket read,CUSACK STAND LOWER,Section 306.
For the genuine, ordinary joe soap supporter the Season Ticket is the way to go.

When will next years season tickets go on sale? I think early Nov with tickets delivered in time for Christmas. Existing holders get first refusal so keep an eye on your inbox.

I suppose we'll go again next year shur
Hearing some rumours the GAA will be looking at photo ID next year on account of all the tickets that change hands for away days. I don't know what their problem is they still get paid.

No chance would the pull that together, considering it's hard to see what gains they would make other than being in more control of who goes to games. Can imagine it being the GAA the people in the ticket vans not batting an eyelid either.

The amount of Dublin supporters who had multiple season tickets in Killarney was ridiculous. They brought all their non travelling pals cards with them. They were giving them to punters on the street and collecting them inside. That practice is frowned on by the GAA because that is eating into their revenue on the day.
In Cork I overheard two stewards at one of the gates talking about taking the cards off anyone who tried to scan more than one ticket.

Judging by the attendances at some of the league games, there are a lot of card holders not getting their attendance logged. I wonder what percentage of Kerry season ticket holders qualified for a Final ticket.
