Exactly - who would have predicted Mayo and Donegal in the last four... hope Dubin make it now - four provencial winners .. would make it exactly as it should be...

Well i must say its a relief to see the Huns outa the way, dirty bitter people, was very worried that they would take us in Croker this year. But fair play to Mayo, a team transformed it seems a real treat to Kerry now in semi-final.

Jesus H C@@@@, I'm glad I stayed for that. I felt it in my bones that Mayo would win today. Mayo did their county proud. They fought for everything. Kerry Tyrone final???

What a day! Which was better, Kerry's victory or Cark's loss?!

So Kerry can get to an All Ireland Final this year by only playing Munster opposition and Mayo. Oh I'm going to burst!

Days like this i just dont want to go to bed as i'm afraid the same magical feeling wont be there in the morning. Great to see cork knocked out even though i would have enjoyed us beating them yet again. Mayo were really good today but they're still a bit away from beating us in croke park. It will be a good test of our backs but they need mcgarrity in midfield instead of seamus o sè to cause us problems in that sector.

I am baffled by the complacency, Mayo IMO Destroyed Cork at Midfield and in breaking ball especially when it mattered in second half, they have a reliable free taker, forwards who are confident and willing to have a go, tenacious backs etc,. etc., while there is an argument for tradition and recent history, have we learnt anything this year only that the only thing you can predict is the unpredictable?

I would have thought Aiden O'Shea was the weakest link rather than Seamus...He gave away the ball for the two Cork goals and did not use the ball well all day... I thought Seamus had a good game today..IMO

Complacency wont come into it for kerry I think.... There is an All-Ireland to be won and If we beat Mayo and get Tyrone... Wouldn't that be sweet!!!

Whatever about their own individual performances, they constituted a fromidable presence and then they have McGarrity to come in, by the way the stats at half time on TV3 showed that all of their kickouts went down the middle as far as possible, if Cork had done that in the first half of the Munster Final we probably would not be even on this forum at this stage so all I can say is DANGER HERE!!

kboy i'm with you on this one. Seamus O'Shea had a solid game and competed well in the air, won some good possession and used it well most of the time and tracked back well. Soloed into a bunch of Cork defenders once though which i hate to see. However his brother Aidan O'Shea did the soloing thing for the whole game. I would hate to play on the same team as him - he lost an amount of ball in the tackle. Will be a step up for our 2 boys in the semi final. Any team that goes well against the Cork midfield must be taken seriously.

Actually cant wait to see the stats if they show them on TSG Later wrt midfield and breaking ball if they have them, but even more so can't wait to actually see the tension, (may need 3D Glasses) between Davis and Brolly!!!

Three weeks will allow JOC Serious time to improve things, and like the Munster Final, I believe that it will come down to the match ups both in defence and in attack. Mayo will be underdogs again so the chances of them putting together another awesome performance are higher than the similar situations they found themsevels in previous years.

Mayo were quite ferocious in the tackle against Cork and showed an aggression not normally associated with them. Previously, Mayo had been put to the pin of their collar in games against London and Roscommon which clearly has brought a really high level of intensity to their game.
I don’t expect Mayo to be the timid self doubters of previous meetings but am expecting to meet an aggressive and battle hardened outfit. Kerry have not been in as many hard battles as Mayo in this Championship so only fool would take this game for granted.

Battle Hardened is the key phrase, can U image what the team who emerges from the other side of the draw will be like fro the AI Final in Sept?

Mayo were super agressive today and hit Cork hard and often especially in the 2nd half. They also did an amount of holding off the ball. If they play like that against kerry we are in for a tough battle.

Actually that was something that I noticed as well, in fact all teams, including ourselves are at it - the incosistency of refs again cab be baffling, TV3 highlighted the incident today where Alan O'Connor hit a Mayo player a belt, Cork continued with the move and when the play broke down he returned to book AOC!!!!you could not make it up!!!

On another note, did anybody else notice the amount of players slipping on the turf? Not good enough in our flagship stadium

Mayo threw everything at Cork and they threw themselves at every ball ...where Cork either couldn't or just didn't work as hard. Great win for Mayo and very well deserved today. I was one of those who assumed Cork would win so suddenly our semi final feels v different. If Mayo play like they did today, we could have a great and very tough game ahead and I'd assume nothing about it. We've had a few comfortable wins over Mayo in the past so I think we need to watch that that doesn't colour our thoughts too much. Bring it on!

Why do days have to be so short? Despite having had to listen to Gary and Weeshie it was good to have followed the game live. This was a disjointed performance and for future reference at HQ Fixtures Commitee, this will have been Kerry's only serious match in SEVEN WEEKS at the height of the GAA's showpiece event! Something is rotten and not just in Denmark! Frustration would be the overriding emotion but the good individual performances save any need to be critical of the team. Mayo will be keen as mustard in three weeks time. I have been trying to decide whether Cork were terrible or Mayo were great and eventually I cast my mind back to the Connacht Final and have now decided that Cork were terrible. A huge amount of praise is due to Mayo but as in the Connacht Final midfield is where they are strongest allied today to some sterling defending and judicious score-taking. They will be a difficult but not unmoveable object and I imagine that the training sessions in Killarney will be well spiced over the next two weeks. I think Jack might well employ a few knuckle-dragging players from North Kerry just to give the players a real challenge ahead of this next match.

Same as a few others here, I would be a bit concerned that we've played about 1 half of football at a good pace. We've arrived at an All-Ireland semi in third gear, whereas teams on the other side of the draw seem to be playing at something more like championship pace. We will have raise the pace of our game when a team puts it up to us. Just hope we can lift it when the time comes.

That is true - it was like watching a National Football League game back in February ..... still not sure what we are made of... but still all in all nice to see some key players back to playing great football - Tomas and Marc look as interested as ever - what great pride and justice they do to the jersey...(even the blue one) - TOS needs to show the same and AOM was certainly engaged today - not sure why Cooper wasn't so involved or KOD - still hope they bust out in 3 weeks time...

Lads I have a sneaky feeling it could be Dublin or Donegal awaiting us in September as next sat nite could be one game too many for Tyrone. As we saw with Cork playing two big big games on successive weekends is a test fir amateur players. Dublin will be fresh next Sunday and it will be difficult fir Tyrone to raise it again. In any case Kerry can only play who's put in front of them: they will struggle to beat Mayo but shud still have too many aces. Then hopefully our accurate foot passing will come to the fore against the blanket defence. Also the gooch is saving best form for the final ( as captain ) as he always does and that's ominous for all remaining teams. Ciarrai Abu!! It's a good feeling waking up this morning!!!!

lads are going a bit over board about mayo i don't think they are anything to write home about kerry will beat them handy enough in the semil , Mayo always have a big game in them every two years or so and that was yesterday.
hope Darren is fit for the semil have to say i don't fear that mayo team kerry by 5 to 7 point win.
