I think this is the same little lad that was crying last year. He is lifting the Cup this year . And will dream of playing in Croke Park someday.

I'm not a hurling man, but well done to the boys, made the whole county proud. For kids to see the hurlers winning in Croker will only help raise the profile of the game in the county.

Great day in Croke Park yesterday,Kerry were always in control once hey sorted the Wicklow corner forward out, moving Andrew Keane back on him worked really well,Andrew Keane,James Godley,Eamon Fitzgerald and Jason Casey were outstanding in the backs,John Griffin covered a pile of ground at midfield,Shane Nolan really showed yesterday how good he is,a class act, scored some savage points and set up scores as well, man of the match,Ciarrai Abu

Was at the match; great win for Kerry; They were easily the dominant team throughout the match; Terrific play by Darragh O Connell; John Egan and our goalie Bernard. Was impressed by all the team; Kerry have great potential in the hurling and will hopefully go on to compete in the Championship next year; it is onwards on upwards for Kerry hurling

As CR winners, Kerry should be allowed enter the qualifiers. Meyler said: "Yeah, that wouldn't be bad. It would be a good experience and the more of that the better. We're two or three years away from competing against the top teams as the Munster championship is hugely competitive -- Tipperary are really opening up a gap, then you've Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Clare all pushing on."
Maybe one of the Kerry hurling club's could put the motion to congress?!

Well done to the hurlers great win,a step up to Munster Senior Championship might be too soon, another year in the CR and try to win it twice like Westmeath and Carlow did before making the step up,plus the CR would be a bit harder again to win with a team coming down from the Liam McCarthy, next year I think kerry should enter the Munster Intermediate Championship and see can we compete there first before we make the step up to senior

It will be naive for us to think if we remain at CR level that we'll be able to retain the trophy. Clubs in the past have turned down the chance of promotion and have had to wait years for the chance to come again. I think we should remain in the CR though. If we can win it again within in the next two years, hopefully we'll be in a position then to join the Munster Championship. After this years plan to survive in Division 2. Next years should be to retain Division 2 status but hopefully challenge for top 4 in the division. It won't be easy, could be missed out on but we should at least look to challenge for that.

Are they still slugging stuff? Fair Play, great for CLG in Kerry. I think they'l try back to back CR first. If they do go up the following year I think they'd have a go at Clare and Limerick but it'd take a couple of years and a lot of progress to compete with Cork, Waterford and Tipp!

Boyle hails 'fantastic' moment 09 June 2011
Kerry's Mikey Boyle Kerry captain Mikey Boyle relished the chance to walk up the steps of the Cusack Stand to collect the Christy Ring Cup.
Boyle played a captain's part as Kerry secured their first ever title at this level and they did it in emphatic style as they defeated Wicklow by 1-21 to 1-8.
It brought an end to 12 months of heartache when they lost out to Westmeath by the minimum of margins and Boyle admits he will savour the moment for some time to come.
"It was fantastic to lift the cup, everyone cheering and roaring for you. It's just north Kerry really that has the hurling and you know everyone around you," Boyle revealed to the Kerryman.
"It's a great feeling for us. It was fantastic. I'm just absolutely thrilled to be honest."

I would love to see the Kerry hurlers compete for the Ulster hurling title.
If Galway can play in Leinster and New York and London play in Connacht, why not.

Who are Kerry's main contenders for the All-Stars or Champion 15 as they're known?
