I dont think that anyone who is a follower of the gaa would dispute that Maurice Fitz was one of the greats regardless of where he is from. Much to do about nothing, I think that the people involved in the Mural were just honoring the highlights that took place in the stadium. Maurice had the finish of all finishes that day it was and always will be a classic...

Final word from me on this one..............
Remember the 1987 Munster Final in hurlinf between Cork and Tipp in Killarney.
Remember Nicky Englishs famous goal where he kicked to the net soccer style having lost his hurley. If Killarney put a mural of that up it would be appropriate................

If you look closely - there is one from each county in Munster - They couldn't even think of a Kerry Hurler never mind a great moment by one in Thurles so the next best thing is Maurice's point

Yeah, you still go wow the first time you see this again. Not quite sure if it's the 2nd greatest moment in GAA history but still a moment of magic. Like Tommy Carr's revisionism on his verbals mind you.
