Sur Tarbert had a great year! Winning a crap n.kerry lge as ive mentioned,N.Kerry junior, minor div2! Listowel finished near the top of div1 c.lge and got to n.kerry c'ship final which was much better than ye black and reds!

Yes tarbert had a great year alright, nk league, promotion to Div 3, junior and nk minor div 2, beaten by the nk championship winners - but it was nothing compared to the year Bally had last year!!!
Why not use your own team to compare to Tarbert as you seem to do in most other posts instead of using Listowel.

BALLY U21 CHAMPIONS which is much better than winning the n.kerry lge. u16s unlucky to lose DIV1 FINAL and unlucky in minor DIV1 with an u16 team! Also semi final in c'ship. When did Tarbert win a n.kerry c'ship game last?

I think most other teams in north kerry would accept what tarbert won last year ahead of a U21 championship, especially promotion to div 3 as it gives players a chance to play at a much higher level.
If more teams in nk concentrated on the co. league instead of just waiting for the nk championship every year (which is played at a crazy time of the year) maybe the standard of football in north kerry would improve and this could only benefit players in north kerry. Either that or play the championship earlier in the year when teams that have been training hard since jan/feb in order to compete in the co. league are still motivated and not sick of football after 10 or 11 months of it.

The North Kerry League is a great competition. It is a great idea to start it early to give clubs match practice before the county league starts. Look at last year Ballyduff, Ballydonoghue got promoted to div 4, Tarbert went to div 3, Beale stayed in div 3, Finuge got promoted to div 2 and emmets and desmonds stayed in div 1. This years competition is generating great interest with some good games played already. Desmonds didnt give a walkover in the first game it was just called off. They have also won there first two games.

expert 05 what are you on about...tarbert had a better year than bally FACT.im a moyvane man and am not biased in any way. tarbert won the north kerry league, promotion in div three of county league and were beaten in the NK championship by the eventual winners and a game they should ave won.
on the other hand bally had a sh*t Nk league, couldnt get promotion in the county league playin against a bunch of 'B' teams bar a few and got absolutely destroyed against listowel in NK champ..granted they beat finuge but anyone wud have beaten finuge that day... And what you on bout winning a u21 is better than a senior NK league...the only reason ye won it is because Ballyduff didnt give a crap about it...they wud ave won it handy if they did

you won dis tarbert again expert will you
tarbert had a far better year than bally and will do so again this year. Bally will struggle to get out of Division 5 this year. tarbert will just about mantain status in division three while tarbert could also get run in county junior bally wont

EXPERT 05 ballyduff would ave beaten bally in last years U21 without a shadow of a doubt. you think bally are going to win this years U21 as well...if all the teams enter and we have a proper championship not like last year bally would be my 4th or 5th favourites....

4TH r 5th favourites?!! Ballyduff and Ballydonughue are the only teams with a realistic chance. The rest aren't up to much except maybe Beale. I'd love to see ur top 4 r 5! Bally would have beaten Ballyduff last yr-everyone knows that.

no they would not expert. ballyduff if they had a full team would have harrington, mikie boyle, 2 o gradys, jersey, roger costello, sean costello, mikey bowler, padraig donegan, pj gorman, damo fitzpatrick, there is no way the likes of derel nolan maurice halloran eoin kennedy could have lived with them. bally won an average u21 champ. end of story

PJ O Gorman hasn't kicked the big ball in yrs and the Costellos aint that good anymore. I believe that Bally would have had a stronger team overall even without all the players they were missing.

Expert05 will you ever shut up about Ballylongford. When did ye ever win anything deacent competition besides a crappy NK Championship that 3 or maybe 4 clubs ever give a s**t about. As for your NK under 21 championship - how many clubs entered that this year. Bally in fairness had a good team but I'd have liked to see them play a full Ballyduff team.

Ballyduff would walk the North Kerry U21 Championship if they had a full team.

Ballyduff would walk the North Kerry U21 Championship if they had a full team. Sure Ireland would have won the world cup IF Roy Keane was there in 2002!!!!!!!! Don't mind ur IF'S and but's Bally won it out end of story.

tarbert won nk u21 champ in 2001 and was that their fault that listowel did not turn up. no it wasnt so take back them comments expert Jasus man.. the listowel team that year would have walked the final...Brendan Guiney, Tadhag Kennelly, Liam Keane, Brendan Kelly, Sean O Mahoney, Fergus Reen to name but a few. The reasons for Listowel not turning up were clear and obvious. 5members of the panel were doing exams in UL that year along(Where in case u don't know the exams take place in the first week of the new year... Just so when the North Kerry Board had decided in there wisdom to fix the final for)... Not counting the fact that the captain of the Listowel team Liam Keane was also doing exams in Galway at the time. The North Kerry Board refused to hear Listowel objection which was unfair and unjust.. and Listowel quite rightly withdrew there team. . Listowel had played their semi final against Ballyduff in early November and had been waiting for the other side of the draw to conclude.. Why should members of the Listowel and their team captain have been forced to miss out on the final because the North Kerry Board had F**ked up in organising the competition( By leaving it run into January of the next year and by refusing to make the teams in other side of Draw mainly Tarbert play there semi final game on the appointed dates in october and december?) If Tarbert were so confident in beating the Listowel team that year why were they so insistent on playing it knowing that Listowel would be missing over a third of there team...?? It will always be known as a SHAM championship...and if Tarbert want to claim they won the North Kerry U21 SHAM Championship in 2001 so be it...They definitely didnt win it on footballing merit..

Another loss for Listowel. Did they have a strong team out. You would think that Christy Walsh would be looking to get off to a strong start.

Great wins for Beale and Tarbert yesterday. I predict these two teams to get to the final as no one else seems to have an interest except maybe Ballylongford. Ballydonoghue should pull out of all senior competitions as they are only kidding themselves. They made a dismal effort against half of the Finuge team.

listowel not doin well at de moment..... simply because they train 3 nights a week, and it ain,t walkin around they do, no ball no rest, 1hr and 20mins non stop running one night, real heavy stuff. it will all pay off lets hope for christy sake. he is givein a few fringe players a chance, i think that will stand to him, he also has at least 20 or more training every night. morale in the camp is good............

get ur facts right before u start talkn about other clubs stoutman!ballydonoghue were missing 11 players who wud normally start against finuge and considering we've havnt the greatest pick of players replacing 3 or 4 players alone with quality players can be difficult!over half of the team the last day wud be considered junior players in the parish!!dont think loosing a game in the n.k league by 7pts wud merit pulling outa all senior competitions!!
