this league goes on for so long that it won't matter who's interested now, come knock out stage since half the teams will still be involved. emmetts should be flying for this cause they'll be in heavy training for senior champ relegation game.

Agree with you there stuckintipp. With so many able to qualify it should not even be called a league as the team that actually wins the most games of "the league" doesn't actuall with "The League" at all! crazy system. And they wonder why teams don't really care about it early in the season. Sure the stronger teams can nearly pick the 2 or son games they need to win in order to just qualify and then get serious later in the season!

Desmonds have some of the best footballers in n.kerry(Lyons,K.Sullivan,Brennans,Lynch) would be disaster as a supporter if they were thrown out. Actually most of the teams in N,kerry actually can play football now which should suit them like Listowel,B'duff,Bally,Beale,Tarbert,B'donughue(team of the future)sometimes Finuge and Brosna. As for Moyvane they are a great bunch of lads. And Duagh of course fair BUT hard.

Moyvane were very much understrength. Jackie Mulvihill, Cathal O'Connor, Eddie Bowler, Paddy Curtin, Maurice & Donal Kearney all missing. Pascal Sweeney had to line out corner forward.

it seems like half of north kerry want desmonds out. i can understand why they feel they get a raw deal cause ive seen it on occasion. but they are without doubt one of the best teams in the league and champ when they try.
good point from buck 02 about them winning in 02, a lot of real NK teams havent come close to a final in years, should they be thrown out too?

In all fairness the n.kerry lge is a joke. The c'ship is all that matters. Look at Tarbert - some nice footballers but they cannot seem to win a game in the c'ship. Last yr Ballydonughue were playing Moyvane in Bally- Ballydonoghue have way better footballers than Moyvane but Moyvane wore them down with experience. You'll never see a team fluke a c'ship but maybe a n.kerry lge. The only teams who want the league this yr are Tarbert,Ballydonoghue and Beale-fact. Listowel might challenge with their B team. The c'ship is the real thing and watch out for Desmonds this year but in saying that i think 3 other teams can realistically win it - Bally,B'duff and Emmetts. I'd like to see Tarbert win to end their famine but this year is a bit early but def within the next few yrs. Out of the 13 teams only Knock(never won),Senans(?),Brosna(never) and Duagh have a longer famine than Tarbert. Am i right?

Think Beale are in for a big year this year. Wouldn't be surprised if they took the North Kerry Leauge. Could be outside bet for the championship. Promotion in county league wouldn't be beyond them either.

EXPERT 05 are you serious when you say that ballylongford are one of ur 3 teams that can win the championship....are you havin a laugh or wat...you picked bally,Bduff and emmets....Bduff and emmets are obvious choices...but wat bout Finuge and desmonds....Ballylongford are not goin to win the championship..they are no where near as good as some of the teams in NK...granted they beat finuge in the chamionship but asdee would have had a shot at finuge that day.... and look wat listowel did to bally in semis.bally are behind the likes of Beale, tarbert, ballydonoghue and the teams mentioned above....just look at ballys county league record..coyldnt get up out of Div 5 last year...and if you take mangan and kelly out of their team...they dont ave much left
