Folks Some Questions? Where is Lady's Walk situated. Somebody told me it was near Ballyduff. Someone else said it was Ballyduff's juniors. Please explain?. See Laune Rangers now have a hurling team. Are they part of the football set-up. Where do they pull from? What Happened to Austin Stacks hurling side of things? Is there any team in Tralee at all now? Firies used to have a team. The Big guy from the pub there used to be involved with them. Where is St. Pat's hurling club from? Do Kenmare and Kilgarvan still have seperate teams? Are there any other teams other than the ones I have shown on this map and the ones above? HOTD

I'll answer any bits i know.
As far as i'm aware Ladys walk are Ballyduff juniors, its just the name they use.
Austin Stacks have a team at present in the county junior hurling league which is played most wednesday nights.
St Pats seem to be a side put together by a few football clubs, not definate really
Yes Kenmare and Kilgarvan both compete seperately
There would be a couple new clubs at underage. Dingle are taking part and Duagh are also

Its n amazing thing about hurling but its played only where the land is fertile....... the English took over the fertile land and promoted the game of hurling.......... in Clare and Galway hurling is played in the fertile areas while football is played in the rocky western parts.

I'm nearly positive that the St Pats hurling team are not the St Pats from Blennerville. As suggested earlier i think they are made up of a few clubs-maybe around killarney-rathmore,glenflesk,legion maybe? Duagh may have a junior hurling team within a few years. Moyvane should also try their hand at it-some tough men in Moyvane!

St Pats hurling club is a selection of players from around East Kerry football areas. They play at junior level. DR Crokes tend to pick from Killarney town with St Pats from the rural areas in East Kerry. The Crokes always have a good intermediate side & hurling seems to be getting a foothold there at juvenile level. Sean O'Shea who captain the Crokes to All Ireland club football glory played senior hurling with Kerry for years & still very involved in the hurling there. Killarney has some tradition of hurling , Johnny Culloty was an outstanding hurler.
Laune Rangers are attached to the football club but all of the hurlers might not be from Killorglin but from other surrounding areas.
Juvenile hurling seems to be getting more popular in areas like Duagh, Dingle, Rathmore & Glenflesk also. It will interesting to see if it will amount to anything in years to come. Kerry could do with a few more adult sides. Sadly Austin Stacks are now only a junior side having had a senior team for seaons & a real good senior side up to the mid 1990s. Hurling still seems to be strong & popular in Kenmare & Kilgarvan. They field seperate adult teams but often play together at under age level. There is the makings of a strong south kerry board divisional side for the senior county championship if Kenmare, Kilgarvan & Crokes could pull together. Thats seems unlikely as the priority for all 3 sides is beating each other in the intermediate championship
