Realist, I can’t actually believe you are suggesting the players to resort to violence. Now if I am reading this right, I presume you are not suggesting that all 15 Kerry men get sent off for hitting Cork men, so in effect you are suggesting a few nasty digs while the ref or lines men are not looking. It may well be a mans game, but people who act like that are merely scumbags.

With all thi stalk of players being hit etc etc I have only one piece of advice for the lads on Sunday - HIT THE F*CKERS BACK AND NEVR MIND THE WHINGING!!IT'S A MANS GAME AND IF GUYS LIKE PAUL O CONNOR AREN'T ABLE TO LOOK AFTER THEMSELVES WELL THEN INTERCOUNTY FOOTBALL AINT THE PLACE FOR THEM! What are people suggesting? That people like the gooch or someone should come in and stand by his side?? Give me a brake. Now if it starts up well thats a different story - all for one and one for all rules of battle must them apply but other than that a guy must be able to look after himself!! i can assure you realist that the bomber would not have let that happen to a rookie under his eyes without asking the cork backs how they were and what they had for lunch before the match and if they had enjoyed it. its called team spirt, team bonding, watching out for each, getting stuck in,having pride in the kerry senior jersey, being prepared to die for other, respecting each other, being prepared to die for the kerry senior jersey, call it what ever you want to fcuking call it.

That's not what I am saying at all oweabue. Young O'Connor got a few digs/shoulders etc etc whatever you want to call them off the ball and when the ball was gone on Sunday. A ploy be the Cork backs to upset him no doubt. Did it work? yes!All I am is saying is that he stood there and took it whereas if he stood up for himself they would have stopped at him as such. Gooch when he started was young and small and light but by God he took no crap off anyback to the point where he was being nearly over aggressive!! I agree with you about the "scumbaga" you are right. Thats what the Cork backs who subjected him to this treatment are!!! But before ye all get up on ye're high horses and think that I am only seeing one side of things, what Paul Galvin was doing to Anthony Lynch off the ball was wreckless as well. Realistically he should have got the line(well at least being shown a yellow) for some of the holding and dragging he was doing to Lynch everytime Cork got a free in their half back line and Lynch took off on a run for a quick pass!!!

Hitting a fella a few sholders off the ball is nothing and i dont for 1 minute think that this was the reason for POC's poor showing on sunday he simply isnt up for corner forward on a kerry team that gives in **** ball yet!!!!!!!!!!

Its a bad sign when kerry cant name their team until minutes before the throw in of a munster final. No player was replaced because of injury last Sunday. Obviously management havent a clue what team is goin to face cork on Sunday. I say bring tomas to midfield with Tommy Griffiin at wing back, drop declan sullivan (not going to happen though) play sean sullivan on the wing, bring in fitzmaurice to stop spillane coming out with the ball easily, drop brosnan, start darren sullivan, play mahony centre back, moynihan on wing & start tom sullivan in corner Eh, who gives a flying pig if they name it before, during or after the National Anthem? It's common enough for replays. There are a number of injuries, players off colour form wise and suspensions. Of course Jack is going to take his training sessions before picking his team. It'd be nice to know but I won't lose sleep over it. Great post mafi - two out of two. Can't say I agree with you still, but it certainly got me thinking.

Micheal Quirke has been recalled to the kerry panel for the replay. It remains to be seen will it be at full forward or midfield. Im Sure it wont go down well with the rest of lads who have been there all year training, if the crabbing after last sundays game by some players over not gatting game is anything to go by.

Belting is a part of football and it doesnt bother me to be honest unless its really dirty ie eye gouging, in any case its the umpires and linesmens jobs to point it out to the ref. The game the last day was not that dirty and i dont know why so much discussion is on that aspect of the game. The real issue is the poor performance of the forwards and the lack of options available to us. I dont think that seamus at full forward is a good idea at this stage in the championship though i cant come up with a better solution. It makes me think we never appreciated Cinneide when we had him both as a free taker and for his performances in the early games of the championship when the other players looked disinterested, remember the games against Limerick 2 years ago.

So much has been said this last week and it must be affecting the players in a big big way.. I know people will say sure its fine to say they are up for it now but they cant just turn around and put in a big performance and defeat Cork handsomely but I think its going to happen.. We have a better side than Cork. That is an obvious fact. Players have not been palying to their potential for sure but you know all in all we are still there and the potential is there. This Cork side are very good. They played really well the last day but I think they have lost their chance. Outside of Armagh who are the biggest threats to Kerry this year??? Dublin? Galway? Donegal?.. Cork can match them.. The talk this week is about crises and players losing interest.. Oh the team will have to be changed now... Quirke in midfield..Moynihan corner forward....Gooch corner back... Id change as little as possible..and say..its yer last chance in Munster.... Honestly I think what happened will drive these players on.. It was hunger that let us down in Killarney. Simple as that... There will definitely be more hunger on Sunday.. I expect a big improvement My one problem is the lack of leadership..I have never liked DOS as a captain... I think its kind of wrong that the likes of Moyno..Dara O Se......etc cannot just be captain. Im sure they would feel that extra responsibilty and push harder and so lift up the team.. DOS isnt the most inspiring in my view.. Anyway..thats not a big matter. No excuses on Sunday. Its do or die....... I think they will do it.. Team.. Murphy O Sullivan McCarthy MOS O Mahoney Moynihan Tomas Dara Brosnan (i prefer him 11) Galvin Gooch (He mightnt be named here but might well start here) Sheahan MFR Declan O Sullivan (Switching with the Gooch if things aint working or vice versa) Darren O Sullivan

With all the discussions one thing that's really confusing me is how the hell were the Cork team so hungry last Sunday? Surely the food after Cork training sessions is far more plentiful ever since Corkery retired?

Hopefully all the false rumours and gossip thats been travelling around this week will only drive and encourage the players to give the 'auld enemy' a good old trashin'

Now that the other thread has been rightly pulled , can we please get back to doing what we should be doing as supporters and get behind the team and support them 100%. I for one am looking forward to it.

KG said: If everyone else can see it why havent we done something about it by now.Rashers talks about mental attitude on a given day to win a match, yes hugely vital, but where has the form gone that kerry showed to beat laois and galway by 8 points to win the national league and dig out a last second victory out of a tight pitch in scotstown in monaghan, where?,it seems to have left the team starting with the waterford team. make no mistake about it,you cant just brush a performance like the one against waterford under the carpet.kerry will either flop badly the next day or either get the bit between their teeth and grind out a victory and get themselves back in the grove. :oHow then to you expalin Longford-Dublin followed by Dublin-Laois, 3 weeks later? And countless other similar examples? Its always possible to turn around. However I take your point, which I gather is that Kerry havent played well since the League. Then again, have they had to? Have Armagh had to (until last Sunday?) Both Kerry and Armagh are ageing teams with alot of hard battles behind them. Their only real goal (especially Kerry) is to win Sam. We all know its a marathon, and for Kerry in particular there's an acute need to time their effort to peak in the final games. Of course they have to get there first, but lets be honest, its highly unlikely they will lose to Cork, and even if they did, unlike those who have said this replay is "do or I die" I dont think anyone seriously believes that Kerry wouldnt come through the qualifiers to at least the Quarter Final with Armagh. Kerry needed a hard game, and its all about motivation for them now. I think they have learned to keep their powder dry for the ultimate tests. Also there are no teams winning All-Irelands lately without some big crises on the way. Dont forget, Kerry still have 2 lifelines, and one of the hardest questions ("Who are the All-Ireland Champions playing?") cannot now be asked!

Having been cleaned out by cute Cork *s who took advantage of a poor Kerryman offered a 5 point handicap to Cork last week at Oxegen, I am confidently predicting a Kerry victory the next day... This Cork team is not a great team and as long as we rise above mediocrity (which we failed to do the last day apparently) we should win with a bit to spare...
Prediction: Kerry +4

I'd agree Seamus with one change...I think Brosnan and Sheahan will swap positions in the team you've named. I'm really looking forward to this game. I think Kerry will be up for it this week and will do themselves justice. If Kerry play to their potential, I can't see Cork holding them. Hopefully, the supporters will also do our part from the start....expect it to be an explosive (in a good way) opening 10 minutes! Also, I reckon scores will be much more free-flowing this time. Its been a long week waiting for the replay but we're nearly there now. Come on the Kingdom.........................

I think Seamus is pretty much on the mark (as usual) it will be his predicted team or close to it I think. Its been a long week and we have heard more rumours than you can shake a stick at. Sunday will be the time to stand up and be counted (for team and fans). I can't wait. Lets get behind the lads. Come on the Kingdom!

One thing about Kerry football.
We demand so much from our team and when we don't perform we always think there must a reason (fighting ,hassle in the camp etc). Looks like the players got a good kick up the arse and this may drive them on to prove a point.
What about Dara, Pony and Tomas to have stormers on Sunday just out of pride in themselves and the jersey?
Anyone thinking of giving Sunday a skip should seriously consider packing the ham sangers and flask of tea and hitting the road. It could be a cracker!
