In all fairness, compared to the outpouring of Armagh folk in 2002 from the Hill, well captured at the time on RTE, we look as if about four cousins decided to have a gander onto the pitch, to test the sward and see if they could graze the yearlings at home on it.

Where are all the Dubs? I suppose a share of them were selling the apples and headbands outside. Not to mention "helping people" park their cars. "Lock hard lock hard".....

Nice picture Ballintroy, with the famous Sambo McNaughton walking nearest the picture. Funnily enough I once came across the famous Sambo in Croke Park, eating.....a sambo!!
Gotta love that. For a group of players that took part in one All Ireland final, and lost it pretty handsomely, in 1989, you can remember a few names, goalie Niall Patterson, Sambo, and the greatest GAA name of all time, Olcan McFetridge!!

And one of the greatest goal scorers in GAA history too............ if there was a transfer market back then he and Nicky English would have commanded the highest prices

Was watching a re-run of Play it again Des with Tony monotone Hanahoe. They showed a bit of 1977 final. Armagh had a fella called Dingle Daly playing, or was I just hearing things. What a name
