Lads, I hate to admit it, but I might need a bit of help. I'm wandering around Ballyheigue or some such place, along by Banna Strand, just exercising my democratically won emancipation thanks to your own good Mr. O'Connell. Anyway, I think I just saw one of your magnificent, unbeatable football team, a big huge tall fella, bit of a scarey head on him, out in the water, being chased by a tv camera crew, and they shouting something like, "Mr X, how in the hell did you go from down & out against Cork to playing the games of your life against Longford & Armagh?!" Oh, and something about toasttestering or something.......I'm just wondering to meself, are yis alright for the semi-final, or am I hallucinating from all this sea and mountains & fresdh air? I mean, is dis a normal state of affairs down here?! Just one more thing - If I manage to find Inch, will yis let the Dubs take a mile.........? Cheers lads!

:-[I've just come back meself, I dont know how I survived , I kissed the concrete & the asphalt & the tarmac with nearly as much affect as Pope JP himself at Collinstown Airport in 79. I never saw that about the Westmeath lad trying to squash Jayo's deadly right foot. That's an outrage that is, yis are all trying to derail us, its a constipiracy! Mr Mack, that "hype" is not artificially generated by the Dubs or anyone in our "robot-like mission" to win the Samuel Championship competition. I can CATEGORICALLY state that we did not, never have, nor never will use the banned substance known as hype. That hype is naturally occurring, or else the interview samples were tampered with. Our incredible recovery after the Longford game can in NO WAY be compared to Kerry's ASTOUNDING recovery after the Cork games. I will admit that on occasion we have used the unofficial performance-enhancers otherwise known as "rumour", "propoganda", "paranoia" and "coddle". But none of these are actually "substance". It's also completely untrue that any of our players have been, as alleged, "doing a headline", though Mr Cosgrove has been know on occasion to indulge, in competition, with the controversial training-ground football practice of "champagne". I trust this answers your question?

Oh God Coddle. I'd forgotten about that substance. Is that what Pillar is feeding those massive fellahs ye have playing for ye now. I wouldn't feed it to my dogs pet rat.

Coddle is in fact an ancient remedy for hype-poisoning. Mick, Im lead to believe that the "march" is a metaphorical symbolic re-enactment of the workers who survived the lock-outs in 1913, behind James Connolly on the way to the 1916 Rising. Or it could be a satire of the Kerry style of short-passing & close-knit swarm defence that didnt win All-Irelands in 4 of the last 5 years! I know for sure that we have all been breaking our s* laughing at it anyway...........

Whats with the handshake....... very freemason lookin
I agree that the slow walk to the Hill looks ridiculous.......... it will be interesting if Dublin and Kerry meet in the final and half the Hill is given over to Kerry as it will................

The handshake is something to do with the Guards I think - sure you lot would know all about that? Yis were a big part of the DMP who battered the starving workers in 1913, yis feckers! Mick, you're welcome on Mecca at any time. We love nothing better than the slagging with Kerry fans. Mind you, if you can get a Hill ticket I'll rob it off you

Remember the good old days when Kerry fans stood on the Canal end and watched Sheehy lobbin Cullen, Timmy O Dowd slippin it past John O Leary, the Bomber slinging over points, Jacko crashing a penalty home in 1985.

...........yeah, they were so far away they missed Jacko picking up the ball in the small square, Big Joe being upended by Nelly as he crashed home his 2nd goal. 85 was the one that got away.
Mick old friend, do you recall with misty eyes that great Raheny player of whom O'Hehir said, "HE CANT MISS! HE HASNT MISSED!", or Bernard "drilling for goals", Mullins slipping it under Nelly in 76, Jimmy daintily stuffing that peno into the top corner as Nelly was still taking a deep breath..........? Doesnt it make you "go goose pimply all over"?!

As I said before Rasher - its been awhile! No wonder all you have are memories to make you go "goose pimply". Hold on to them as you'll need them another while to have your pimply experiences.
Now, we on the other hand ... have 33 with 34 on the way in Sept PG!!!

Apparently the american indians love watching cowboy and indian films but they always turn off the film before the end............ I'm like that about the 1977 semi final. On a serious note........ that Kerry team didnt gel till they located a big man at 14 called Liston IN 1978. The more things change the more things remain the same

The more I watch that 78 final the more I'm baffled how we lost by an All-Blacks score. We had so much of the ball in the 2nd half, and a load of things that didnt quite come off; then a long ball up to Bomber and him wrestling it and jumping into the net, or throwing Mikey into the net with the ball, something like that anyway! Just goes to show, who'd be a pundit? Anyway, all this misty-eyed nostalgia means little to the 5 teams left today, 3 still standing this eve. I'm thinking more about Thurles, the chances we missed, and 2004, when the ball just wouldnt go in the feckin net til it was too late. Then the humiliation of that 2nd half, something I'd never seen happen any Dubs team since 79. I'm thinking about how much we miss Paddy Christie, and Brosnan charging through the middle. I'm thinking that Griffo or Shaugho can do a job on Star, given the chance, and that Pillar & Co couldnt be mad enough to make the same mistake as O'Neill with Curran, by thinking of putting Cully onto him. I'm thinking MFR still has at least one big game left in him, and I'm hoping its today. I'm thinking Whelo & DOSe would be epic. I'm wondering who will take Keaney & Mossy? Who will take Gooch? And then I remember I'm being nostalgic about the future, and it's too soon.............
