Congrats to Jack & the lads- a great result on Saturday. The 2nd half was outstanding. Looking forward to the next round of the Cork/Kerry saga. I was very surprised to see so many gaps in the stands on Sat - you'd think that with the 4 teams that were playing it'd be packed to capacity. Hope there'll be a big turnout next time.

I for one didn't make it (and I'm not proud of it but there ya go). The vast majority of South Kerry people won't leave South Kerry for the August weekend when the feshtival is afoot, and that includes me. I know of 1 Cahersiveen person and 1 Renard person who made it to Croker (not including fellahs on the panel)...
...and yes I will travel for the semi.

I was there on Sat, sacrificed a long weekend at home to support the Kingdom in Croker and by God was it a great decision. Those of you who stayed away missed something special. Your loss!!
There was a good Kerry following but I do think the fact that Donegal were also in Green and Gold made it look like there was a lot more Kerry fans that was actually the case.

crowd from Kerry was pretty good. I was very surprised at the low overall attendance. Cork didn't seem to travel at all.

there was a good crowd in the stand the hill was quite enough. i think my flag was one of about four kerry flags up there. cork had very few supporters considerly they usually bring a big crowd. Thats thanks to the fixture arrangement i guess.

Was there on saturday and have to say I haven't enjoyed a game as much since the '97 Final - the sheer joy (and relief) when we got the 3rd goal was just savage!
Stayed on saturday and went to the hurling on Sunday - brilliant game in fairness. Huge Cork crowd at the hurling as u would expect but their footballers really get a raw deal - only west Cork fanatics travel to see them.
Spoke to a Longford fan after the kerry game (he was there to support Kerry!) - just made me realise that we are unbelievably lucky to have such a fantastic team to supprt - a team that gets to Croke Park practically every year for the last 10 and deserves the best support possible from an over demanding public.
Worth thinking about the next time you give out about a player / manager / or wont go and support the team in "lesser games".

whatever about the numbers of kerry fans, i thought the vocal support was great. its the first time in a long time that i can remember the whole crowd getting so much behind the team, cheering every interception, every pass etc. i have never jumped to my feet as many times at a game as i did last sat.

i thought the kerry crowd was small enough, someone told me there was only one train leaving kerry for the game, maybe is time the county board chartered trains to bring the fans to croker and tie in a ticket package for the train and game.
kerryman, there's more important things in life than going on the piss in caherciveen, epecially when the kerry team needs you, thankfully the o se's didn't leave their massive hearts down in west kerry for the weekend.
i went to croker and i stilled managed to be in caherciveen for 11 oc on saturday evening. where theres a will theres a way.

Was there on Saturday and I must say that the Kerry support wasn't great. Huge Armagh support. Cork fans were actually going for Kerry when the going got tough. Maybe they are trying to tell us something for semi!!

There was only one train from Tralee cos there would not have been the demand for two. You could see from the traffic on the way up that there would be very few Kerry folk there, although it was bigger than the 1/4 finals of 03 and 05 still less than the Dublin game in 04.
I'm sure the fact that this was Kerry's 4th game in 5 weekends took its toll, it certainly is taking its toll on my bank account! Still I'll have the raid the old piggy bank (aka credit union) to make it to our 5th game in 8 weekends on the 20th! I'm sure it'll be worth it.

its costly alright, but no money could buy the feeling at the base of the stomach when the final whistle blew or when when dareen crashed in the third goal.

I agree Kerrygold! I never jumped so high off my seat as when Darren crashed in that goal! I thought the Kerry support was very good! Alot more vocal than normal! Maybe its because only the true Kerry supporters were there and all the KY 4 supporters stayed home!! ;D

most people dont seem to realise how un accessable parts of kerry are from dublin, i mean, travelling from north to south kerry is hard enough, let alone people from the south travelling to dublin. transport is one big thing, if the trains suituation was improved, it may help alot. imagine travelling from the likes of valentia or tousist to dublin, it would take fair dedication. kerry people have the furthest travel and the worst roads/rail on which to travel on.

The worst part of the journey is from south kerry to castleisland, that can take anything from 50 minutes to an hour, once you leave castleisland behind you there is nothing wrong with the road, another two hours and fifteen mimutes will take you up to porlaoise where you pick up the M7 into dublin, another 45 minutes will bring you into newlands cross. i find the more often i drive the journey the easier its gets, try it. Anyway there's nothing like being south bound on the N7.

it may take someone from armagh about 90 minutes max to go to dublin, someone from westmeath about the same, most of the leinster and ulster counties and tipp/waterford and cork for that matter, have top class dual carraige ways for most of the journey. someone from south/west kerry may not even be out of limerick by the time someone from armagh is in dublin.travelling from north kerry the last day, took us 2 and 1/2 hours to get to moneygall which was only half the journey, we did the rest in less than an hour, that somes up the difference in quality of roads down here to further up the country really. i know its not a big excuse and dont get me wrong, i travel to every game, but i know that it does cost us numbers at big games. the fact that the train from tralee to dublin takes 4 hours does not help either

Anyone see the photo in the Cork Examiner (Pg 30 on Monday ) of the Cork fan who was sound asleep in the stand with not a sinner around him?? (The Hogan Snoozer he was dubbed!!)
Well - I'll give ye the full story straight from the Horses mouth. Was talking to the great man from Mallow last night.
He was out all friday night....went and watched the kerry game.. fell asleep before the Cork game and awoke with not a sinner in the ground one hour after the Cork game was over. Well at that stage what any normal person would do after a nice afternoon rest...straight to the big tree and out all night again Saturday!
