Congratulations to the Kerry team and management for a great win yesterday. For sure thought that Kerry would get a goal in that second half to seal everything up nicely. Great to see Mike Frank back in form for sure and the Gooch will rattle that net in the All Ireland to make up. Donaghy looking good and can take is points too which was great to see!
Very confident in Kerry to win All Ireland.

Ah yes, it was all a bit predictable in the end. Cork lack of class up front was exposed and only for the keepers save from Donaghy early on it could have been another semi final hammering for them.
The full back line had a point to prove after all the crap that was written about them, in the media and even here, and I though both Sullivan & McCarthy were super on Sunday. Moynihan was a deserved man of the match and the amount of breaking ball he won was unreal.
We won the midfield battle no doubt about it - I though Darragh was brilliant again and Tommy Griffin did a lot of the donkey work in the middle third again.
Sean Sullivan and Galvin will be delighted with their performances again, the breaks were swept up, scores taken and good ball delivered into the full forward line by them.
Mike Frank is now doing what I've been saying here he can if he gets a run of games for the last few years. Now we'll be going into a final and the opposing manager will be fearful of Gooch, MFR & Donaghy instead of just thinking of the Gooch as it was this time last year.
I know theres nothing won yet but great credit must go to the team and management for the way they've turned things around since July 16th. We're where we wanted to be at the start of the year, there has been a few good tough games played and the team seem to be improving still.

We should really say a big thank you to Billy,Corcoran and Derek Kavanagh for all the quotable quotes they gave us for our motivational purposes of course. Derek branding us again on sunday morning as the most cynical team in Ireland who pull and drag all the time and get away with it was particularly good. Derek would know a lot, on sundays evidence, about pulling and dragging and getting away with it so he'd be in a strong position to talk. If it wasn't all geared towards trying to influence the ref going into the game.....

Who did the Cork football management employ as their PR guru anyway? Basil Fawlty? Neville Chamberlin?

congrats to kerry,a professional, solid, economical performance by a team that knew what they were doing. i thought the ref was poor, billy should take a look in the mirror, cork were the cynical nasty team to-day,plenty of boots, fist left in and diving, failed to wind up galvin. enough said, the only way to answer that is to beat them. kerry did enough to win to-day,i thought dara and seamus were emense, two great footballers. mike frank is coming back nicely, just about to come into form, its a funny world,he was in better form for the semi final of '04 and maybe '05 and lost his place. This year he will start.strange. the gooch is nearly there also and donaghy is learning the ropes quickly. This is a better way to be going into a final than having all guns blazing and being all flash. Firstly, Kerry were by far the better team , and deserved to win, probably by more But were you watching the same game? Dara ó Sé has been getting away with the same for years, but is not criticised , but celebrated. I thought Murphy would not be able to play on at an early stage. And Cork diving and putting the fist in? Have you enrolled in a creative fiction evening course for the Autumn? Kerry have taken cynicism to new heights, but were whinging when beaten by Armagh and Tyrone, who are nowhere near them in this respect. I'll be singing "Blue is the Colour" on Sept 17th. GO ON THE DUBS. yip i was watching the same game. as regards dara o se,dara is a horse of a man playing gaelic football,a mans game,at the height of his peak. dara is about to join other great kerry mid fielders gone by,lads like mick o connell and jack o shea,as one of the all time great kerry midfielders.

kerry deserved their win on the day. from the point when kerry got 4/5 scores in a row just before half time the result was never in doubt. cork were just that tiny bit short of quality up top to get the scores to match kerry. also they never recreated the intensity they showed in the earlier games. also canty was a huge loss as this upset the team right through midfield and to centre forward.
cork are a very young team though, lots of U-21s and first year players, and this year has provided us with some excellent young players in spillane, shields and donncha o'connor. the experience of this year will stand to them and over the next 5 years they should be a match for kerry every year in munster and will make the breakthrough to win an All-Ireland.

I watched the Cork-Kerry game again and in the second half Cork could have have 3 goals only for Mike McCarthy, Semus Moynihan making vital saves/interceptions.
I agree that Cork have a bright future.
