Keel are a cert to go up. Tousist will probably join them as Ballyduff are too inconsistent and they have them at home.

Its 2 up, 2 down ! I even heard Willie Connor say it on the radio !
Its changed this year because the number of the teams in Div. 5 has been cut by two, with Crokes and Strand Road 'B' teams departing the scene !

hmmm highballnlow seems to bear a grudge against na gaeil."na gaeil are v weak will go down i reckon" "na gaeil and firies will go down" etc - laughable. i wonder if its jealousy of their set-up,a previous hammering at their hands or purely delusion. please explain their weaknesses..if you say na gaeil are very weak what is to be said for the other teams, surely we're realistic here and not judging by inter county standards. i would say na gaeil have oodles more talent than the likes of scart for example. na gaeil have beaten ardfert many times over the last 3 or 4 years and look where they, ardfert, are now. admittedly the teams na gaeil have beaten this year( ballydo, churchill and brosna - though most people tipped n g to lose those games) are all quite poor and will stay in the lower reaches but I'd give na gaeil a great chance to go up. from what I've heard their 'star' player David Culloty has been shocking in all the matches, which is a good sign, unlike the over-reliance scart have on reidy. na gaeil have a bit of momentum now and under the new management a badly needed steelier side has been instilled. i'm jumping on their bandwagon, along with ballyduff, to go up. whoever goes down deserves to,good few mediocre teams out there. what you think highball??

sure you csn beat arfert in the st.brendans league all you like just as with crokes being beaten in the east kry league...but these are micky mouse competitions only used for trying out young lads...if na gaeil were good enough they would be where ardfert are....but the league table doesn't lie i'm afraid...to say scart over-rely on reidy is by all accounts wrong......as for the na gaeil setup....fair play...but jealousy....not a hope

In response to starsailor. n g have beaten ardfert on the way to winning 2 of the last 3 brendans CHAMPIONSHIP's. notably, ardfert got promoted both those years suggesting they were a very good team(league table doesn't lie!) and there was no trying out of young lads. i enjoy a good discussion over opinions, but it's unfortunate when ignorance clouds things. it lowers the tone to argue like that. as for the reidy matter i think he is more important to scart than any n g player is to their team or o'sullivan for glenbeigh. so they miss him more. we'll wait and see...i'm not changing my mind yet anyway..n g have hope in abundance, its funny even tho no one tipped them on these pages to win any of the 3 games. topsy turvy division. plenty of tight games ahead. watch n g bamboozle teams tho!

to be honest i really thought na gaeil would go down this year having watched them in a couple of brendans league games at the start of year and thinking of their inconsistency over the last few years but at the moment they really seem to be getting it together and performing very well.
very professional outfit at the moment they were in UL all weekwnd at a training camp!
they have produced performances over the last few yeras in beating ardfert but havent cocsistently performed in the county league they seem to have done it in their last two games but i wouldnt get too carried away yet two good performances means nothing unless there followed up with more!!

Na Gaeil are a team to be reckoned with this lads make no mistake about it!!!the majority of their team is in their mid twenties and are at the peak for their physical condition!!having seen them play this yr already id tip them to go up their only weakness is their forwards arnt world beaters and a good defence cud limit their scoring opportunities!!their main threat comes from men coming up from wing back and midfield to support the forwards players like Culloty!!

Na Gaeil had a massive win over tuosist and keel were well beaten in brosna. Wide open again!

Big win by na gaeil for sure, keel result was a big surprise. Brosna seem capable of pulling off big results but seem to lack consistency?

yea brosna's problem is consistency or lack thereof. good win for ballydon as well. every team seems capable of beating each other this yr besides tuosist or na gaeil at home.

Did anyone else hear that the County Board are thinking of fixing co.league games for Sat night? Will put a lot of people out if they expect them to then travel to support Kerry on Sunday...
I know they must be running out of dates too though, so I suppose they have to fix them for some time

there is no way that the county league should be played sat night. its the county boards fault, there has only been 3 rounds of the county league played in past 10 weeks, they seriously need to look at that, rather than panicking now. the way the fixtures have been made this year is a joke

Fixtures in this county are a joke Tis gas the way the junior leagues( Friday B games) can be run so well though. This year that comp must have been played off between 6-8 weeks with all the games been played during the summer. As was stated in an earlier thread tis the ordinary club player that is loosing out big time!

Wel this division is really starting to hot up as we near the finish. Looks like a 3 horse race between Keel, Tuosist & Na Gaeil for the promotion spots. The last 2 rounds of games have really opened it up as Keel lost 1 and won 1, Tuosist have won 2 out of 2 and Na gaeil have played 1 and lost. Their other game was called off i think. Hopefully we can start to update the league tables on the website just to clear up who stands where.

Ballyduff could still be in the race for promotion too. They've only dropped 3 points but have only played 5 games. Why have they not been fulfilling their fixtures?

i think that is what the table looks like aswel but as far as i know Keel and Tuosist have the same amount of games played. Keel have Ballyduff away and Scart at home remaining and Tuosist have Churchill away and Ballyduff at home. Na gaeil have 3 games remaining alrite against Ballyduff away,Firies away and Duagh at home. Not sure if Duagh have managed to reach 10 points yet either because they have lost their last two games to Tuosist and Keel.

big surprise for scart to beat na gaeil alrite, scart have been unlucky though in a few games this year only losing by a point or two when they could have won. by the looks of things this division could drag out for a bit with ballyduff only having played 5 games, and they prob not playing this wkend due to the hurling final either, is this why they have only 5 games played all along. north kerry championship can't be far from starting either with the draw tomoro nite.
