just got a short report from person who was at game..Skellig Rangers were fitter and out-worked annascaul dominating the game right through..annascaul were missing Emmet Kennedy at midfield and Jamie Driscoll, but Skellig were missing a few key players in Aidan 'Dashy' O Sullivan and Kerry minor Gary O Driscoll...Skellig won a penalty which Brian Hickey converted and that kept a slight margin between the teams..Skellig played Wayne O Sullivan as a sweeper in front of Geney Farrell which worked to a tee..Sean Courtney converted a few frees that kept Skellig in front..Neil Sheedy played well, had a tough battle with Steven O Sullivan at Midfield..Colin O Sullivan was excellent for Skellig at Centre back..

Was at the Dromid Beaufort game at the w-end. Easy win for Dromid despite the scoreline 1-17 to 5-03, Declan tried his hardest to get scores and ended up with 1-5 or something like that, should have had lots more though. Looks like relegation for Beaufort, Pity, their a decent enough team. They just threw everything at Dromid which is why they scored so many goals.

Jesus, 1-17 to 5-3, forget about the Dublin-Mayo game, Dromid-Beaufort must have been game of the season!!!

Dromid were kicking points for fun and every time they went about 4 points ahead Beaufort scored a goal. Exciting stuff especially as Beauford more or less had to win. Declan Sullivan's goal was a cracker too, top corner. Maybe not as nail biting as Dublin Mayo though!!!!!!

Dromid v Finuge. Dromid got off to a great start with a goal in their first attack from full forward Thomas Curran, another one shortly after from Kieran Bobby O sullivan and Dromid were 6 or so points up at half time. Second half was a bit more even, Finuge played some decent stuff but were poor in front of goal and should have had a lot more points but they insisted on going for goal all the time. Maybe they heard Dromid conceded 5 goals the week before!!!! Anyway Dromid kept kicking the odd point keeping the nose in front. Finuge goal came from a free which was lobbed into the box and somehow ended in the net. The ref blew it up exactly on time. Final score D Pearses 2-10 1-08 Finuge I think the intermediate game between these two will be very competitive, especially when you bring back Galvin ,Fitzmaurice and Declan O Sullivan.

it was a sporting game up to the end but what happened to the waterville player needs to be punished. the county board need to take a stand here. read about the game in the waterville website, which if u read all there previous reports on games are fair and not just from there point of view. i think the reporter was holding back about the game. www.watervillegaa.com

In response to some recently deleted and modified posts:
Referees are doing their very best and it is unfair to let every and all comments run on this forum. It won't happen, and if you are unhappy, then sorry, but thats the way it will continue.
The referees are as amatuer as the players, they are involved because of their love for the game, and are out a few nights a week every week. Enough abuse is taken on the field (where more respect is needed), so any more is certainly not needed here.
And as you know, there is a severe shortage of referees in the country, so if you feel the standard is bad, then please sign up and change things from within. - Please PM admin for details on upcoming referee courses topcat and goupforit and anyone else interested. Thanks.

Why haven't the league tables been updated for the last 2 rounds of matches yet?

Ardfert look good for promotion with 11 points from 7 games but all remaining games are away so it will put it up to them.

Ardfert look good for promotion with 11 points from 7 games but all remaining games are away so it will put it up to them. I agree with that, i think Dingle are certanties and i think it will all go down to the Wville Ardfert game to see who gets promoted. which is on in Wville by the way so it wont be easy for Ardfert. If all the south kerry teams stay in Div 2 with St Marys coming down from 1 it'll be like the South Kerry League next year!!!
