The League kicks off this weekend: Round 1 Sun March 19 St. Michael's/Foilmore v Sneem Finuge v Waterville Annascaul v Beaufort Skellig Rangers v Ardfert Currow v Dromid Pearses Dingle v Spa
Interesting to see how the Ardfert match goes. Finuge will be without Paul & Raymond Galvin and Breen all suspended. The County Footballers are hardly togging out Sunday? Dingle and Spa should be a good game

Our boys will have to come through the U21 game unscathed if we are to have a chance. A tough away game first day but we have plenty of talent.
I'd go with
Foilmore Finuge Annascaul Skellig Dromid Spa - have to back my own!

Would agree with you FatTom but i don't think you will be able for Dingle back there. Assuming Murphy and Tommy Griffin don't play for Kerry Saturday night, they should be available. Also, Dingle have 6 very fast forwards who will probably be too much for a couple of your dodgy backs! Same results apart from that.
other divisions:
Rathmore to beat Marys KOR to take Desmonds away GGuilla to take Gaeltacht in Gallarus minus Kerry lads Stacks to take Listowel Crokes to take Rangers Milltown to take kilcummin
division 3 kenmare to take castle glenflesk to beat pats lispole to beat mitchels valentia to beat ballymac renard to beat tarbert legion to beat beale
€2 accumalator!

We got fierce tough away games this year. Dingle will be as tough as it gets but I dunno, Niall on current form and a big game from Stam is a must if we are to have a chance.

sorry lads but "fat toms"beloved spa will find it tough going in back in dingle this weekend-i predict a spa win-as they ve the class to beat the daylights out of dingle and the likes-no one in div2 can match the spa!pacey half forward line-thats about all thats carrying them!dingle hav the youngest panel in div2-with the likes of that geaney, and some fella they call "spanks" o neill-watch them fat tom!

wonka i think ur underestimating dingle this year. sure enough they hav a young panel, 11 starters lst yr were under 21, i think there backs arent great, but there forwards are fast pacy lads. that lad O neill, aidan, is on the wing, his light but a flyer.

id fancy spa to take dingle at home...but not away to dingle...the conditions would suit dingle much more than spa, they should be well used of having 4 different seasons in one game...if it's a wet windy day...i wouldnt give spa much of a chance

id agree with you there jacko-dingle are a very good young side-i can see them causing a few shocks in the county championship this year-seeing as you said 11 under21's playing senior-which is quite impressive!i cant see anything else but a dingle win at the weekend!that geiney fella and that flyer o neill should cause havoc!i ve seen there backs-and id disagree with you-to me they looked very solid!seeing as they kept the gaeltacht to two points from play in a recent match, which they went on to win with "all"their kerry players were playing

Well f**k it anyway another close loss first day. Dingle beat us by a point (8-7). We were only two down at half time with a gale force breeze in the second half but we were without Stam for it. Niall Mahoney was class again and Ivor Flynn at midfield. Losing Stam killed us because we don't have the talent on the bench. All in all a lot of positives from the game but disappointing to lose first day.

d Hopefully Moyvane blood afew uder30 players also. Moyvane Team that had handy win away to Na Gaeil: Diarmuid Fitzmaurice - 19 at most Johnny Mulvihill - 28/29 Mossie Mulvihill - 30/31 Owen O'Flaherty - 26/27 Cal Flynn - 18/19 Denis Kennelly - 25 Conor Flynn - 23/24 John Jack Mulvihill - 25 Eamonn Stack - 34 Patrick Curtin - 17 Damien Flynn - 18/19 Cathal O'Connor - 30 DJ Keane - 18/19 Maurice Kearney - 32 Eddie Bowler - 32/33 And we were missing Tom Sheehy, Seanie Lynch, Jackie Mulvihill, Brian Stack & a few more. I don't think that team is in anyway overloaded with over 30 year olds.

Ye obviously held the dingle forwards quite well FatTom despite my reservations about your defence! Yeah but we didn't have depth to cope with the loss of Colm Cronin and we have very little in terms of forwards to come in. The U21 game the day before hurt us too. But we did all right. Just knowing you should have got a draw is killer. You'd nearly rather be beaten well and have no complaints.

Yeah, A good start is half the battle with the county league. You wont meet any better teams that Dingle this year though. I fancy the 2 of ye to go up.

It'll depend on injuries (we don't have depth) and players going away. Tougher division this year I feel, we lost two neighbours to two tough away games.

Nah sneem have great talent in their ranks. they have always disappointed though. But them beating bally foilmore is certainly no shock at this time of the year.

As I said it'll depend on injuries and what players go away etc but we have some good talent all right.
