"hano"? That was another era surely? (sorry for calling you Surely!) I like Shaugho, and Mossy, which is common to a few players, including of course your own Lyons. Bomber will forever be, eh, fondly remembered by us Dubs! Geezer. Ricey. Pillar Caffrey. Dotsy O'Callaghan. My own favourites are The Blue Panther and Kieran "The Wolf" Duff. There was a legendary Kerry player in the 50s and 60s, not sure what the name was, any ideas? (I dont mean Mick O'Connell)

Heh heh, fair play breaks! But this guy was a huge legend, with a great nickname. Ah well. I also liked Ogie Moran, and Mickey Ned

Aeroplane O'Shea? He was around during Mick O'Connells later years.

You've your wires crossed there Abu !
Aeroplane Shea from Castlegrgory was playing during the First World war years and the early 1920's !
He was by all accounts the finest midfielder of his era and was famous for going up to catch the ball with one hand ! He had this skill down to a fine art ! His theory/explanation for using this unorthodox method of fielding was - That if you were jumping up to touch a ceiling or basketball ring etc., you would go up with one hand and not two !

There you go. I always thought he was of the 60's vintage. I heard a great story once of a Munster final in the old sports grounds in Cork. Cork midfield giving Aeroplane a torrid time with punches etc. At one stage a ball comes in, Aeroplane goes to catch it and says "you'd better be gone out of here when I come down"..

The truth of that tail has grown its own wings I'd say ABA!!!
