6 months of hibernation after one of honestly the most gut-wrenching All-Ireland losses of all, I genuinely could barely bring myself to watch any football at all over the last few months. Lost the final we should have won after winning the semi we should have lost. Anyway, looking forward to ASP on the 27th. Hoping lessons have been headed from last year and we can look to play to our strengths again. Is the Cork game Friday night on Clubber or Youtube does anyone know? Clubber 11.99

Anyone with knowledge of East Kerry football tell me why Shane Cronin of Spa and Shane Courtney of Glenflesk aren’t involved with Kerry considering we are short of good backs?
These 2 lads very promising underage players and i believe trained internally with Kerry under Peter Keane.

Wouldn't call him county standard anyway, would be all out to get in with East Kerry. Shane Cronin playing away with Spa. Great club player but wouldn't have the man marking needed for Kerry but as good as any of them going forward.

The next player I think can make it after this year is Luke Crowley, he has the ability to go straight into the Kerry set up. Hopefully he can show that with the u20s. The other player is Cian Lynch, corner back with east Kerry last year. Surprised he wasn't called straight into the set-up but they opted to keep him with u20 for this year. Has the potential to be corner back with Kerry for years. I'm not from glenflesk now just telling you what I see.

Bang on with both, definitely the 2 outstanding prospects who are on the age with the 20s this year. Glenflesk have a very good team coming together lots of young talent there. We need 2 or 3 players each year good enough to come in from the 20s because we don’t have a lot of quality in depth at the moment, there’s a lot of fellas who have been hanging around the bench and extended panel for a good few years now.

I'd be thinking the likes of Evan Boyle, Ben Murphy, Daniel Kirby & Paddy Lane from the next crop of Kerry underage players. Alex Hennigan from Dr.Crokes seemed promising at club and college level but not sure if he ever did much representing Kerry, maybe someone can shine some light on that for me.

I agree to an extent but Crowley and Cian Lynch are at least a year ahead of most of them. I'll be looking closely at Evan boyle and ben Murphy, they are closer than lane and Kirby. Will be interesting to see how they get on with Stacks. If they can't get on stacks team first they are wasting there time expecting to be with Kerry yet. I'm also excited to see what crokes players come from pat O shea at the helm.

Do you have any idea why they didn't bring Cian Lynch in with the seniors straight away, he's ahead of casey and Joey Nagle and Damien bourke in my view. Another young enough player who should have been brought in is Jack kennelly from ballydonoghue. He is as clinical as the geaneys at minimum and an eye for goal.

His name isnt Geaney is probably the biggest reason He should have been brought in last year, time is slipping away from him. I'm from east Kerry but this is going to sound bad but he plays like a crokes corner forward, clinical and dangerous. I'd say it would not matter to him who marks him. Another player I feel should have been brought in over the last few years but maybe he's too old they thought, is Tomas Lynch desmonds. But I'd be bringing him in as a wing back. Went toe to toe with paudie Clifford a few years ago. He's a tasty forward too but even better wingback. I'd say hes 28/29 which maybe came against him.

It's a sad state of affairs if we have to put seanie into midfield again, that talk should be banned. We have to try someone and maybe okunbar sitting and Diarmuid licence to roam. Now I do think joe is a good foil for Kilpatrick the next day but in the long-term we need to able to match Dublin in midfield just to break even
