Hi Lads, Just wondering if anyone might have any pictures of my grandfather, father and uncle or any related books/articles. Ive been through loadsa stuff in family album books but no ne gaa related. Also know my g/mother sold!!! medals when times were tough. G/father John "Gal" Slattery played c 1925/30 Father Jack "Gal" Slattery (prob 40s) but he never talked about it to me, died when i was 15. Uncle Maurice died on a pitch castleisland 1964? before i was born, also never met my g/father. Im not sure if this is the right forum, but im doin my head in to get something about them. Pints for anyone who can help. Cheers

Have you tried the county library archives........if you know when they played you might be worth looking up the Kerryman of the time and see if there is anything carried.

Yeah as abu said the county library will be able to fill you in on all you want to know. Eamon Browne in the local history section is the man to contact. You probably get his e-mail on the Kerry county library website !

John 'Gal' Slattery Played on a tralee selection which won the county football championship in 1925,lining out at wing back playing with the great John Joe Sheehy.
He also won the County football championship the following year,again with the tralee selection lining out at Midfield on this occasion the tralee side won by 7-7 to 2-1 versus a listowel side.
