Just a comment here on posters- we had some great additions this year with hermit & horsebox but also ciarrakmick has added a bit of balance & many a well thought out perspective to the irrational exuberance of people like myself. Moment of the year - Seanie and it will prob be my moment of the decade when we look back in a few years. A special mention to Jack O Connor aswell, the f*cker just loves winning. Set the tone from day 1 and went after all individual games and tournaments, a roaring success of a year and god bless him I totally agree with comments on Jack but the composition of his back room team was key; in particular, the addition of Paddy Tally. Tally has a great football brain - the 2 sessions held recently in MTU demonstrated that. There were many great insights but the story told by Jack about Tally is one to remember. Jack had decided on Briain & Gavin as his wing backs due to their speed - Tally asked him who was the fastest on the pitch - Jack’s opinion was Briain, Tally disagreed - Jack answered Gavin & again Tally disagreed - Tally said the fastest on the pitch was the ball!!!! He changed the emphasis on running from defence to kicking long diagonal balls into the full forward line - Seanie’s goal vs Dublin had been practiced hundreds of times - very hard for a defender to defend a ball kicked diagonally- easy to lose one’s bearings etc - Tally was a key acquisition.

Have to agree. The award for the biggest courage is Jack. He had nothing to gain by coming back again. If things went wrong the introduction of Tally would certainly be thrown at him.
