The Green won 4-18 to 2-8 That’s a very serious team by the Green - would fancy them to make a real shot at the All Ireland

The Sem seem to be better than the Green to me so I think it’ll be the Sem having a shot at the All Ireland. Every starting outfield player for the Sem was a Kerry minor panellist bar one who’s a panellist this year. Should be a great final anyway, a repeat of the last Corn Ui Mhuiri final played in 2020.

It'd be good to see them play the Green in the final. If they do, and having seen them 3 times and the Green twice this season, the Green would be the favourites for me.

Sem won 1-20 to 3-12 AET. Let a 10 point lead slip with 15 minutes to go and were lucky to progress in extra time by all accounts

Have a look at these highlights if you haven't already - it'd do your heart good. The scoretaking on all sides is a joy to watch. How about that last score in normal time by Brendans? - serious cojones there. Or the cheeky lob for Bandon's third goal? Football can be so much better to watch in the minor to 21 years.

I think i will be paying the 8 euro to watch that game during the week ahead. The goalie was poor enough under the high ball that led to the two goals for Bandon. The green will be launching a few high ones into the Sem goalmouth in the final i expect.

The Green Vs Sem In The Final Will Be A Very Interesting Affair On paper your looking towards the sem but with playstyle your backing the green both sets of matchups are key for each team the green picking up will shine and cian mcmahon and the sem sorting out jordan Kissane Thomas o donnell
The green will more then likely go defensive and not 1 on 1 with the sem so I could see a shake up in their squad
I’d predict Dara callaghan will move from centre back to pick up Armin Heinrich at midfield with Killian o sullivan going back to centre back to pick up Thomas o donnell Rian Colleran will pick up Maurice o connell… Darragh Fleming or Cian lynch will be assigned with the task of Kissane
On the greens matchups I’d expect Jake Foley who is part of the minors this year to be assigned with the big task of picking up Sharpshooter cian Mcmahon with the help of a sweeper aswell as Darragh Sweeney Or Ruairi O Connell who are returning from absence on the side to pick up William Shine . Colm Browne will go toe to toe with Luke Crowley and Sean Mcgrath Will Pick Up Cian Foley it’ll be very interesting how the green line out
I expect a cbs win by 4 points

All Kerry final in Munster and an all Kildare final in Leinster with Naas CBS v Maynooth. Naas scored 6-6 v Tullamore in the SF. Maynooth beat Clane 3-10 to 2-12 in the other semi.
In Ulster it is Magherafelt from Derry V Tyrone's Cookstown in their first McRory Cup final managed by Peter Canavan.

Any venue fixed for Sem and the Green? In my school days there was a "home and away" arrangement in place between the two, but that wasn't today or yesterday.

Taken in conjunction with the display of the senior team last Sunday, perhaps 2022 will mark the reawakening of Kildare football. It would be wonderful to see.

Kildare had the 4th highest number of underage teams in 2020 - 966 Kildare had the 12th highest number of underage teams in 2009 - 486 Kerry figures over the same time period were 621 in 2020 (10th) and 590 in 2009 (7th) Kildare basically doubled the number of children playing underage in a decade. Eventually that is going to have an impact.

Hopefully the weather will have eased off a bit by throw in. It should be a cracker alright. The Green are favourites in my books.

I’m the same, I expect a bit of a reshuffle by the green, but I expect maybe a four or five point winning margin. I just don’t think the Sem have the players to bottle up Brosnan and Kissane, not to mind match the physicality of Heinrich. He is a man amongst boys at this level. God, I remember in 1992, Seamus Moynihan was an animal for the Sem and no one could match him at that level. The bones of the minors will be picked from the panel of tomorrow’s two teams, I’m sure Coss will be a keen viewer tomorrow.

Whichever of them comes out on top will have a big influence on the match. Kissane is a flyer when he's on song too. The Sem on paper probably look stronger, but the Green play as a team more.....4 or 5 points margin for the Green for me too. Yeah, just 4 minor panelists on view. This being under 19 rules a lot of the younger players out of the reckoning, especially in the bigger schools.

Re bit highlighted above I am not keeping up with up with all the changes going on at the minor grade so i need to ask this; will most of them not be too old for minor this year? Cup Description Corn Uí Mhuirí is the cup presented to the winners of the Munster Post Primary Schools Senior Football "A" championship, the top level Gaelic football championship for secondary schools in Munster. The competition was established in 1927 by Dr. Eamon O'Sullivan and Canon Breen at a meeting in Mallow. Since the 2018/2019 season, the competition moved from Under 18.5 to Under 19.

I’ll go against yer predictions above lads, I’ve a fancy for the Sem tomorrow. If they perform for the full 60 minutes, I think they’re the better side and surely a Corn Ui Mhuiri final against a Tralee side in Fitzgerald Stadium is the day for them to click. I see the Sem’s 2 corner forwards Shine and McMahon causing the Green big problems and I expect them to fire them to victory by 3 or 4 points.
