Think the clue might be in your username..gossip season in full flow!! I presume you are referring to the rumor doing the rounds that Donie Buckley has stepped away? We need the Merchant of Ennis to help the defenders take an equal size step forward in 2020 as they did in 2019. Nobody's pound of flesh should be allowed to stand in the way.

A particular journalist was hinting at this on Twitter. I really hope it's not true, we are making good progress under him.

In reply to the references about Dublin being fitter than Kerry, I think we matched them the first day but did not have the confidence to go for the jugular at a point up. The second day I felt we expended huge energy especially in the first half giving away the Dubs kickouts and working for up to 2 minutes to win the ball back. People say man marking can expend energy but I believe giving the kick out away expend far more. We should have just gone for it like we did the first day. Disrupt the Dubs, make them work for possession and drain their legs for a while! We have the panel to beat them. We need the courage to finish what we started the first day against the Dubs.

“Ultimately when you miss training, you are the one who loses out. The excuse of ‘I’ve got work’ is gone.
Getting closer to semi-professional or are some counties there already.
He always gave 100%, thanks for your effort and the huge time you dedicated to Kerry.

I think that county panels into the future will be much slimmed down due to : a) Cost to county boards b) Players will no longer give the required commitment to “ just make up the numbers “‘ & not be part of match day squad with a realistic chance of making a contribution/appearance.
Club football is a big commitment but often more enjoyable while the lure of playing in the US during the summer months will only increase.
As Mark Griffin says, it’s not just the training part but the whole discipline required to be part of an inter county set up.

You would think that county panels might reduce but some were suggesting during the summer that they should increase beyond 26 the number that is available to play on the day

Killian Young and Mark Griffin walk away with their heads high. Loyal to the jersey and proud to have worn it.

When is the final? I presume it's just the top two, no semis?

I'm against it inside the 45 and always have been - it should be the 21 or maybe a 30 yard line but the 45 is too big a range. Could lead to a lot of stop start keeping of possession when a team is ahead

At least it will make the transition to AFL easier than what it would otherwise

Chaos expected with sin bin. 10 minutes will be killed by injuries and substitutions and playing keep-ball.
Would prefer to see black card means you miss the rest of the half.

I am not a fan of the offensive mark. Tommy won a world of ball in the league. It would be great if he didnt have to take the resulting kick at the posts.

Paul Geaney caught a high ball in the replay that deserved to be rewarded with a mark.
Both feet off the ground and arms stretched to make the fetch.
Under these proposals you can get a mark for bending your back to catch a low ball. Why. A defender has no chance to defend such a delivery. What is there to reward with a mark.
From aussie rules we have borrowed...
the line ball from the hands
the free kick from the hands
the kickout from the 14..some to be 20 metre line
the mark

Teams with the best forwards will thrive on this, just pop the ball in Rock, Mannion and O'Callaghan all day long, sure scores.
