imo I would think that Conor Lane is the best ref of those on the list, but he's down for a semi final.

If Joe or Gough get the final then thats an extra nail on all already fully sealed coffin for any hope of stopping Dublin.
We had on paper a tougher group this year than we did last year and have come out on top with some change so not all downbeat but I also was not too enthused by our performance on Sunday. Again, our defence seemed to be carved open at will.
Tyrone will be a severe test for Kerry's youguns who seemed to be lacking in decision making when Meath put the blanket across also.
Sean O'Shea immense but I wonder sometimes why he takes frees off the hands when he is more than capable in the first half. I can remember him missing one off the hands only to later smack over one from the exact same spot off the ground.

Then again Dublin John might just go with Dublin Joe regardless.

Tomorrow morning. 50 Euro for a stand ticket and 35 Euro for the hill. It looks like there is no sale for clubs through the county board. It's a pity as that means our support will be dispersed around except for the players families in the Hogan and season tickets in the cusack. I always likes semi finals as you would get big blocks of Kerry fans together adding to the atmosphere.

Think Gough is a cert to ref the final - media building him up, has not had the honour before - Brian Gavin in the Examiner today suggesting Gough is the best man for the job. We will worry about Tyrone first!

I havent seen much of Tyrone this year.
In 2017 they were ultra defensive v Dublin.
In 2018 they left the defense open and Dublin waltzed through it.
Is the 2019 defensive approach by Tyrone more like 2018?

Is the 2019 defensive approach by Tyrone more like 2018? I watched them play against Roscommon, Cavan & Kildare and even though the opposition wasn't exactly top class one thing I noticed is they really concentrated on swarming the player in possession once they got into their half. I can't see them changing vs Kerry as they can't afford to leave Clifford, Geaney & Seánie one on one because they don't have the man markers to do the job. I can see this game being a real poor quality close game and it'll be even worse if it's raining with a slippery pitch.

This game is a very hard one to call, the referee and the weather (long range forecast shows rain) will have an effect and these are the uncontrollable factors.
Kerry do have more skilful footballers and great kickers while Tyrone are a more seasoned outfit with some big game players. Some of these young Kerry players will not have experienced the level of mental and physical aggression and downright violence (let’s call a spade a spade this will not be handbags) that will be visited upon them. I wish the news of David Clifford’s back problem didn’t come out (David can expect the accidentally on purpose knees and elbows to rain down upon him and test it). Moreover, Tyrone will test out the temperature of the referee and officials in the very first minute of this game and if the referee doesn’t see or is being informed about what is going on behind his back then Sean O’Se will be sat on and literally punched into ground. There is a reason Tyrone are so despised around the country and especially in Ulster. It's a shame really because Tyrone do have some fantastic footballers especially in Mattie Donnelly, Cathal McShane and Peter Harte and a top goalkeeper in Nial Morgan who also engages in plenty of blackguarding.
I’d love it if beat them, love it!

Last call to Peter Keane and Kerry; Please, please work on Kick out strategy. Get that right and we have a fighting chance in any game. All the best against Tyrone. Give it a lash. Am I the only one worried about this aspect of our game?? It's a glaring spot that needs attention. Serious attention.

Also, if Peter says DC has a back problem then i'd say it's just as likely to be a toe problem. His teamsheets tell you that he doesn't like to give away information to the opposition.

Lads discussing the professions and people and their partners should be a no-go, especially the latter

What kind of a crowd do folks expect to attend on Sunday? 50k?
I assume tickets shouldn't be too difficult to get a hold of

I assume tickets shouldn't be too difficult to get a hold of At 50 quid a head to get in, they'll do well to get 50K. €50 very expensive, and €35 for hill 16 is reckless also. It's usually €40 for the terrace on AI Final day. I expect between 45,000-60,000 to attend. Big factor is it should be the closest of the two semi finals. I'd expect Dublin to win by 7-9 points but I don't think there'll be more than 5 points between these two teams.

Queue for the tickets on Tickets.ie are currently close to an hour, I'd say there'll be a pretty decent crowd at the game.

Not really a game to get the matchups right bar Mattie Donnelly / McShane axis who will have to watched. We should be able to cover that, if we cant god help us against Dublin. P Murphy Donnelly, Morley on McShane.
Are S Ryans kickouts becoming a problem, highlighted on TSG. Once Moran was being picked up and broken away from him Meath seemed to get massive amounts of breaks. Maybe he didn't have options but he gave a few awful silly ones away which would be punished by better forwards. Hes going to be massively targeted now with teams double marking Moran for kickouts. Will we see J Barry the next day to take some of the burden of fielding these from Moran?
