Is this George Durrant the former Kerry minor? I thought he was playing with a club in Cork?

Yes, it is. Went playing with Ballincollig and won a Cork County Championship I believe. Remember seeing him against Stacks a few years ago in Munster Club in Tralee.

Think Brendans might just prevail in a tight game this evening.
Hard to call Dingle and East Kerry, think Dingle can smother out Clifford to some extent and win by 2 or 3.
South Kerry probably have the better know how at this stage of the competition and should beat Kierans by 3 or 4.
Crokes will target Seanie for some close attention like they did a few years ago and should win with a nice bit to spare.

Jeez the shooting from Brendans so far is pathetic.
Brendans about 7 chances and 1 point so far, Legion 3 shots 3 scores in first 10 mins

At least Brendans changed the colour of their numbers. I would say RTE insisted on it. Thank God

Very hard to watch the modern game. No draw in it for the neutral!

St Brendan's won despite their best efforts to throw away this game in the opening half. Hard to see them going all the way on this display but they are still alive nonetheless.

Semi final draw:
East Kerry v St. Brendan's
Dr. Crokes or Kenmare Shamrocks v South Kerry or St. Kieran's.
If the Dr. Crokes/Kenmare Shamrocks winner does not win the competition, Austin Stacks will represent Kerry in the Munster Club Championship.
If the County Championship is not completed by Munster Club Championship date (17 Nov), the winner of Dr. Crokes/Kenmare Shamrocks will represent Kerry in the Munster Club Championship.

St Brendans into the semi finals for the 1st time since the early 1990s when they surprised everyone by reaching the final in a team that was captained by Kerry hurling stalwart Christy Walsh and managed by another hurling stalwart Maurice Leahy.
I think East Kerry will be a bit hot for them but you would never know.
Very impressed by the goalkeepers in tonite's double header. Especially Eoghan O'Brien.
Other players outside the senior panel who impressed and might be grabbing Peter Keane's eye - Paudie Clifford, Dara Roche and Brandon Barrett

Are the semi finals due to be on next weekend? q Yes I believe so Yes and there is a two week break from SF to the final - currently the final round of league games is scheduled for that weekend but imagine the final pairing will influence that.

East Kerry made Dingle look very poor yesterday - difficult to know if it's a divisional side developing momentum or a Dingle collapse. Their previous 2 games were played in atrocious weather conditions on home turf. Stacks and KOR will be scratching heads wondering how they lost to that Dingle team.

Think it was a Dingle collapse more than anything - EK were good but Dingle made it easy for them; there was no game plan for David Clifford, going man to man was hard to believe; Tom O’Sullivan seemed off colour allowing Paudie Clifford dictate - Dara Roche had a field day - Paudie Clifford & Roche kicked one point from play vs KO’R in 80 mins of football - think that’s the perspective we need. East Kerry did what they had to do & will probably have too much for St Brendans - they will be a handful for anyone in the final, Crokes included - EK will have no fear of Crokes coming up regularly against them & have enjoyed under age success against them - interesting times ahead.

Kenmare could have won today but were just too negative. 15 behind the ball for almost all the game and played on the counter. And it almost worked. Leading by 3 with fifteen minutes to go, they squandered two goal chances and Crokes kicked 8 points on the trot.
