Bit of a farce again by the county board, especially when many games are already postponed or moved to Friday evening, why can't cordal get their game postponed? There is a big rush to get the county league played off during the summer but club players won't kick a ball for months waiting for divisional championship, the club player is the lowest form of life in the gaa he can't even go and watch the county teams

There is a big rush to get the county league played off during the summer but club players won't kick a ball for months waiting for divisional championship, the club player is the lowest form of life in the gaa he can't even go and watch the county teams I am not sure the county board could do anything here if the two teams could not agree on an alternative date - once the fixture is made it must go ahead on the appointed date unless BOTH teams can agree on a postponement and offer an alternative date that is acceptable to the Board - given that the offer of a Friday night game or early Sat game wasn't acceptable to the opposition the fixture has to stand. It is unfair on Cordal given the circumstances but the board has be impartial and fair to both sides. I certainly don't agree with the rush to play off the county league with 3 rounds pencilled in for July when the Super 8s etc are being played - that leaves August free for maybe one round of the county league but that would not even take place if Kerry should reach an All Ireland.

The co board should surely understand with the seniors and juniors playing this weekend clubs are going to struggle for numbers, have a look at this weekends fixtures and see how many walk overs and postponements already, the county board should have just postponed the round plenty of free weekends in August

Its fairly clear that the club fixture list is low on the agenda of the county board. The clubs are a hindrence, its all about the senior team and very little else. Anyone who is involved in a club setup would surely agree with this. Surely common sense should have prevailed here and fix the county league fixtures for another weekend, as mentioned above, there will be plenty idle weekends as clubs will have to wait for months for their divisional championships to start

This scenario has come up year after year with regards the kerry junior footballers and fair play to cordal for highlighting it and bringing to the attention of the general public. The ccc have the dates for all munster and national competitions at the start of the year and arrange domestic competitions around them on the assumption that Kerry reach the All Ireland final but year in year out they ignore the fact that the kerry juniors may also reach an All Ireland and fix county league games on the same weekend. Don't be surprised if we are talking about this again next year

My understanding is the same as one expressed above - the county board's hands are tied here once the fixture has been made.
Seems to be more a snakey stroke by Castle than anything else

Waterville had 2 players on the junior panel, who between them had six brothers who couldn't go and watch their brothers play an All Ireland final because they had to play a Co. League game. Very unfair

As far as I know the default date was Saturday as kerry played yesterday so once an agreement is reached between both clubs which is acceptable to the county board everything is ok. Obviously both clubs couldn’t agree in a few situations which is unbelievable in today’s world with floodlit pitches etc. Didn’t the Crokes B team have to play a game that they conceded around the All Ireland club final earlier this year.?? It’s time for the county board to grow a pair & step in.
