Micheal Burns shows a lot of maturity here. And leadership.

Clubs could also show a lot of maturity and leadership by nominating outside of the club on occasion!

Great maturity shown by young Michael Burns of Dr Crokes. Basically he wants to establish himself first and focus on his own game. There's a budding leader inside that young man but let's give all these young fellas time. Hopefully now his club shows the same maturity and indeed all the clubs in Kerry, time to move on and give the selection of a captain over to the management team.

No need to throw the baby out with the bath water here. Let the club, KCB and senior management show maturity and leadership and nominate a captain when a club is not well placed in a GIVEN year from within. Paul Geaney would be the obvious choice this year if MB's opinion reflects thinking in the club. However, maybe Gavin White has a totally different take on it.
