Reading what Vet and Brosna's fairplay2all have to say is a breath of fresh air - two decent dyed-in-the-wools in serious if sensible debate on touchy stuff. Out of that can only come good, and that we can do with.
Brosna might have been one of the first and hardest hit victims of rural isolation, so to have such a good pitch a generation later is remarkable, and to be contending at the top in NK is commendable - I bet their population is depleted.

I'm doing my best for us to be able to see Sunday's game live on our PCs, ah it would be great for NK people all over the world if we can get this one over the line and I am hoping for goodwill from a few quarters, drawing on all my resources, say a wee prayer for me!

"Us".... Your doing it for your own benefit No, I would not be the only person watching it. But I have the ability to lobby for a worthy cause I believe in first hand and maybe that is not something you can identify with. What is a concern here is why so many of 'us' want the game not to be shown - you are not a genuine GAA supporter, just making a laughing stock out of yourselves by making it difficult for genuine supporters to see the game live. I also now believe the NK board is saying that people would watch it from the pubs - this is rubbish as they wouldn't have rights to charge for it and if it was illegal it would damage their pub license. And anyway it would only be a small PC screen, not on a widescreen TV. WHY DON'T THEY JUST COP ON AND ALLOW EMIGRANTS TO WATCH THEIR BROTHERS PLAYING ON HAT IS AN HISTORIC DAY? WHERE DID THE GAA TURN WHEN THEY WANTED M0NEY FOR CURRANS? I THINK RADIO KERRY AND THE COUNTY AND NK BOARDS SHOULD NOW GIVE THE GO AHEAD. HOW CAN THE NK BOARD MAKE ANY CASE FOR SUPPORT WHEN THEY CUT OFF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF THEIR OWN SUPPORTERS FROM SEEING THE GAME. WHAT SIGNAL DOES THIS SENT TO PETER KEANE & CO WHO NEED ALL THE MORAL BACKING THEY CAN GET TO HELP WIN BACK SAM. AT LEAST WE CAN PAY SKY AND SEE THE GAME LIVE, THIS IS SAYING TO ANYONE WHO CAN'T TRAVEL, THAT THE POWERS THAT BE WILL STOP YOU WATCHING YOUR PARISH HEROES. AS UN GAA AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, A KICK IN THE TEETH TO THOSE WHO HELPED MAKE THE GAA WHAT IT IS. I AM THINKING OF BALLYDONOGHUE'S O'DOINNELLS IN THE US, TWO EX KERRY MONIORS. OUR No 10 JIM CREMIN'S SISTERS IN HOLLAND AND HONG KONG - JIM'S GRANDFATHER GUS RIP HAD TO WAIT 50 YEARS TO GET HIS AI MEDAL - WHAT WOULD HE SAY TO THIS? OUR No 8 MARTIN O'MAHONY's BROTHERS IN CHINA AND DUBAI. I APPEAL TO THE FAIR MINDED TO VOICE THEIR SUPPORT ON HERE AND THEN WE CAN APPROACH THE NK BOARD.

Ok, I have a parochial friend who is in hospital and it would be very nice if they could see the match, and I am sure there are many more like them from both teams, indeed all NK parishes, what a wonderful Christmas gift it would be to visit them and watch it together on Sunday afternoon? If you had such misfortune Tomás would you like to be able to see your beloved team in a final?
The NK board moaning saying that people wouldn't travel, did they not think of that when taking Ballydonoghue and the Duffers to Brosna? Veteran wasn't wrong.

Give it a rest bally. You say you are a die hard Ballydonoghue supporter, yet if my memory serves me correctly, u have not attended a final since this young team came good 3-4 years ago. So please stop posting nonsense, you are getting quite boring..

All sorted, common sense prevails when the right people are at the controls, we will all get to see the match in our own time.
Thanks to Johnny Stack, Chairman of the NK Board, and protege of one great Johnny Flaherty.
To those of 'us' who obstructed, you're comments are on record.

Looking forward to the final, conditions may be challenging but my source's from Newtown tell me if tomorrow is dry the pitch will be ok.St Senans will have to improve alot from the last 2 outings against a Desmond's team only fullfilling the fixture and a finuge team more interested in the small ball. Sean t Dillon's battle with Paul Kennelly will be great to watch maybe Sean t to shade it. I wonder will Barry oMahony take up Eamon Walsh the later playing great stuff either one of these players won't be far from man of the match . Bally should win midfield they have a lot of option's in this area and Brian oshanachain to come back in. The Senans forward line can blow hot and cold but P Quill and Sean Connell are motoring well all year.I think Senans will need to score a couple of goals to make history .My head says balldonoghue but it would be great to see the halfway boys make it championship number 1

Whatever about the outcome, north kerry needs these two teams, it's best two teams to really compete for county champ honours next year. Both teams should use Sundays game as a springboard

This topic has been hijacked for the past number of years by one poster who seemingly knows nothing about his home club. He never attends a game whatever the reasons....Doesn't know who the senior team manager is and berates us all for not allowing the games of one club to be transmitted live....as if it were our fault.
I for one am sick of this nonsense and doubt if I'm the only one.
Mods I suggest ye look at this carry on.

I for one am sick of this nonsense and doubt if I'm the only one. Mods I suggest ye look at this carry on. It’s time to silence this tripe being blurted by Ballythe fireside and get on with the game ! I believe the time is ripe for St.Senans to take their place at the top table of NK football after all these years and claim their 1st championship title. Having seen them fail at this point over the years I think they have the INGREDIENTS ( excuse the pun) this year to go one further They have a nice blend of youth and experience sprinkled throughout their panel. The one thing I have noticed about them this year above others is that they seem to have a plan and a purpose about their play and don’t panic when in tough tight situations. They have a plan for each opposing Player and situation, which in the past just led to frustration and lack of concentration on their behalf. Goalkeeper Luke Lynch is solid with a good kick out strategy, the backs led by Sean T., Mark Behan and the Keane brothers are tenacious and tough. Damien Sommers at midfield has the ability to lord this game. Upfront the likes of Paudie Quille and David Foran are potential match winners. And in reserve they possess Brendan Whelan a colossus on many on occasion in the past. What a reward a NK medal would be to this man for past endeavors. Senans have come so close in the past only to fail in the end, their game this year v Emmets showed their potential to succeed, they kept their heads when under pressure And concentrated on the task at hand. Ballydonoughue on the other hand are a fine team but I think the hype of the 3 in a row and their fans will be their downfall. Looking forward to a classic tomorrow, weather permitting. Frank Sheehy Pk. Listowel should be the venue for all finals, come 3.30 pm tomorrow it will be getting dark and floodlights will be needed, not to mind the comfort in attending Matches in town. Anyway Senans get the bonfires 🔥 ready to blaze from the Six Crosses to Stacks Mountain, and Rathea to Mountcoal !

Would Senans have been in many finals down through the years? It would be a great achievement for them to capture a first title. Down south I think every neutral would have loved to seen Dromid beat the Marys last weekend just for a change. Id imagine in the same fashion that most NK folk would like to see Senans win tomorrow for the same reasons? Lets hope it works out better than it did for Dromid! I have seen both in county league a bit over the years, should be a belter of a match, I wouldnt like to call it

Ballydonoghoors won't be drawn in by the hype, unlike some on here are. Senans will get the respect they deserve and which is 100%, 3 in a row means nothing unless it happens and we have too many cool heads on the field, experienced fellas like Martin Mahony and Jim Cremin who care little of hype, just love their football.
PS I reported the nonsense to mods so they know all about those of 'us' who wanted to deprive others of seeing the game live - emigrants, patients, etc. Shameful and Sky can now have a good laugh and yew have weakened the case against then, maybe yew should delete the relevant comments and put it behind yew.
Good luck to both teams and officials and hopefully it will be a day to remember for the real NK football clan.

Ballythefireside is a mismatch with the world around him and determined to remain so. But he must at least be dimly aware of the irritation he generates and how uninformed and out of kilter much of his bloviating is.

Pity that Tom Ryan, Director Genaral of the GAA doesn't agree with some of ye, and thank God for that. Here is a recent message I had from him. And now as I said before, let's focus on the match as this is sorted!

It's a complicated question because of various competing interests - by that I mean streaming in general, not your situation specifically.
Streaming of some games does pose problems for the broadcasters to whom we've sold rights and we do actually try to regulate it here ourselves. But I'm not sure where Radio Kerry fit into that.
I'm not sure I can do a whole lot at this stage about tomorrow's game, but will you let me look into the general issue for you and get back with a more informed response for the future?
And good luck in the final.
Regards Tom

Like the 2017 final was? You are going on about this for weeks. You have turned this thread into a load of rubbish - it's supposed to be about the competition not about streaming games. You have actually no idea what about what's going on down here. You claimed that 'ye' spent big money on the recording equipment which I can guarantee is not true along with other foolish remarks. Get into a car or get a bus down for the match like everyone else and stop causing a scene about nothing. I can't see Control putting up with you for much longer. Control

Like the 2017 final was? They will 'do their best' for those who can''t make it, bearing in mind that a few pubs streamed it illegally and that hit gate receipts. What we are also assured of is that holders of radio rights will have no influence over video broadcast. Their argument re video streaming affecting the gate backfired when it was put to them that radio broadcast also hits the gate. I am a bit disappointed that some on here were abusive when all I was trying to do was to enable emigrants and those in hospital etc to see the game. The Director General of the GAA was most helpful, even on a Saturday morning, and as the copy of his email I posted on here confirms his commitment to addressing the issue. Ballydonoghue did invest in equipment and we now have a seasoned camera man and commentator and it was poor show that the live viewing was blocked by penny pinchers.
