Only for an amazing Dublin team we'd have another 3/4 in the bag by now. Mayo would have a few anyway

I seriously hope the ref and officials react to off the ball antics. Will our young guns be targets for roughing up ?? I bet they will try it. I hope for a good game of open football (from both teams) Come on the Kingdom. Kerry by 4pts

Today will be a huge test for our young team, I really hope they will not be found wanting. Galway have the potential to rip us apart down the middle and they will have seen the consternation in the Kerry full back line any time a high ball went in against Cork. We now know how poor cork are, yet they created several goal chances. If we have learned from last year and can shore up the back we will win. If not Galway will take full advantage.

Best of luck to our young team today. Yesterday's action in super 8s confirms that aspiring to an all Ireland this year is worthwhile and realistic. Dublin are on a slippery slope and that shocking keepball at the end confirms their cockiness and beatability. I just hope our guys rise this summer is real. Today will confirm

Here in Meath on the Dublin border. Gathering myself to head in shortly and pick up Kildare game. At kids training this am chatting on sideline with parents, banter, people rising each other, talk of dublin having lost their mojo and that Galway might pip us today, Kerry team spotted in the village here this morning. Ah good days!

Caught the second half of Kildare v Monaghan.
Two tired teams at this stage. A bit of class from Monaghans usual suspects saw them hang on to win.
Kildare wore dark green...way too similar to Monaghans jersey. Why does this bullsh1t go on. Why didnt they wear the lillywhite....

Struggling to break down the blanket defense. Galway play a despicable brand of football.

No point blaming the opposition, if we don't improve we're heading for defeat

This is the worst I have ever seen. Was waiting for Donaghy to be introduced for the last 20 minutes and no change from management. Kick outs the worst in the country not a mind the attacking display. Still cannot believe that Donaghy was not brought on.

If this is not the biggest reality check! We were wiped out in midfield therefore forwards had no platform. Our kick outs have been atrocious. Sloppy passing. Terrible wides. No energy. Hard to know what to make of this. We would get slaughtered by Dublin but can't see us getting that far. Clifford the only shining light.

We knew Galway would defend with a few sweepers and 13 behind the ball and try and hit us on the break. Yet we looked completely unprepared for it.
Compare it to Dublin last year against Tyrone. They kept two extra men back ahead of the one or two marked Tyrone forwards so they couldn't be hit on the break and two men out wide on the wings to stretch the Tyrone backs. That's how you beat a blanket defense not play a sweeper yourself.
Fitzmaurice is not learning. Killing Young a disaster today. After Kerry backs worked so hard to steal the ball from Comer fairly, Young comes in with a lazy cynical drag down. Should have got a blackey card and then goes gets sent off. Maher very poor when he came on.

Something has to be done about football. 2 skilled teams, reducing each other to rubbish.
