I see in some posts people don't agree with carrying experienced players this year and we should only bring young players to gain experience. These are valid points but we must stay at the competitive side of things. Young players coming through will learn from the more experienced players so it is important we keep some more mature players that will add to the panel. I feel Cork had a very poor day at the office Saturday and just met the inform team leaving Cork looking much worse then they are.I do worry that our panel after 20 players is not strong, we dont have enough of depth to carry us if injuries occur during the super 8's. I am also wondering why Niall O Mahony is not getting credit for his work as the strength and conditioning coach. Liam Brosnan mentioned on radio kerry last night that Joe O Connor should be acknowledged for all his work and never mentioned Niall, we must give credit where credit is due.

In the past, even in successful times, you had panel members who you'd never expect to play, and who didn't. Fellas with AI medals who rarely, if ever, crossed the white line for Kerry. I don't think you could say this about the present set-up and there's no-one I can think of that I'd worry about if I saw them starting or coming on. In fact I'd say the panel overall is stronger than any I can remember. There's lads not even making the matchday 26 who'd walk onto the starting 15 in most counties.

Totally agree there is 30 plus lads that are of a good standard. The only positions that i feel we are a bit light of cover is midfield and full back.
