Mayo, for example, could lose a super 8 game and go onto win the All Ireland. They would be the first team to do so having lost two championship games. Extremely unlikely as Mayo are not good enough to win the All Ireland. They don't have the forwards. The few they do have bottle it when they have a chance to win it

I think Kildare might do it on Sat.

I think Mayo will have too much for Kildare . This could well be the year they fall short and don't make a final. But I'd never right them off.

Can't write off Mayo. I think they will win. Monaghan Armagh and Tyrone also I think.

Imagine if Dublin came out and said they want to play their home game at Parnell Park?

It would be funny as this dublin team probably hasnt played there before! Not since 2010 in league and 2004 in championship. Small mercy that we won't have to deal with the moronic Mayo4Sam poster on here. Also the great Cillian O'Connor failed to score from play today. I think he was held scoreless vs Tipp.

As we will be in the group with Fermanagh or the team that beats them we have a lower chance than the other group of getting Monaghan or Armagh, no chance of getting both of them and a higher chance of getting Tyrone or Kildare.

Oliver Cromwell did things like that to their forefathers. Bit harsh really, they did their best

So essentially we will be playing whoever draws Laois away and whoever draws Fermanagh at home.
As Armagh and Monaghan can't draw Fermanagh, we will either play Tyrone or Kildare in Killarney on the August weekend. Have I that right?
Edit: or Fermanagh of course

Mayo are a big loss to the strength of the Super 8 groups. The only team outside of Kerry capable of beating Dublin. Dublin have a clear run to the final now.

In my mind, Mayo have come in waves over the past few decades- 1985 the replay and the John Finn incident, losing to a very good but desperate-to-win Cork in 1989, then the 90's, beating Kerry and the bounce of a ball away from success in 1996 and Maurice in 97, and watching Galway win not once but twice, then from 04 onwards, meeting and losing 3 years in a row to Kerry and then coming again from 2011, driving on but never quite making it. And then yesterday finally running out of road. I cannot imagine what it must be like to support Mayo and yet so many did. Yes some of them were not very gracious at times but people in glass houses....
In the 40 odd years since 1985, Kerry have won 8 senior titles and we are getting anxious because the most recent one was in 2014. We have no clue what Mayo and their supporters have endured.
Kildare did the deed, it will be interesting to see what they do next time out.
Ulster teams coming through strongly in the other games. I see McVitie of Cavan got a red card rescinded, which incident was he involved in v Down and on what grounds was it overturned?

Dublins semi final and final opponents likely to be Kerry and Galway.
The super 8 game between Kerry and Galway to ultimately decide which of them Dublin meets in the semi final.
That the way it looks now

Only thing is a lot of those teams will be heading for there 5th week in a row Totally agree about the 5th week in a row being key. Galway and Kerry have a huge advantage in that regard. You only have to look at what 4 games in a row did for Tipp and Waterford in hurling
