Although I agree it was up and down I would certainly say in my view that Clifford was definitely our stand out player as he was our go to forward at various stages of the league due to an out of form Paul Geaney. I thought Clifford really stood up to the plate for such a young man but I am sure it won't be the case come championship as he will have much more support from the likes of JOD and hopefully an in form Paul Geaney.
That is if Clifford is going to play in this year's championship or will he play with the u20 squad. I think it's a no brainer to have him in the senior set up this year, I know it was only the league but he showed he is well capable of performing and performing well for the senior team.

Agree murphy had a great league, he has the heart of a lion. For the year that’s in it i think the youngplayers should get the nod as there were some standout players, Clifford and O Shea were the best newbies up front while Foley and Shanahan stood up in the back line. Id say the training sessions will be lively enough with so many hands showing for the srarting team places.

I see in some posts people don't agree with carrying experienced players this year and we should only bring young players to gain experience. These are valid points but we must stay at the competitive side of things. Young players coming through will learn from the more experienced players so it is important we keep some more mature players that will add to the panel. I feel Cork had a very poor day at the office Saturday and just met the inform team leaving Cork looking much worse then they are.I do worry that our panel after 20 players is not strong, we dont have enough of depth to carry us if injuries occur during the super 8's. I am also wondering why Niall O Mahony is not getting credit for his work as the strength and conditioning coach. Liam Brosnan mentioned on radio kerry last night that Joe O Connor should be acknowledged for all his work and never mentioned Niall, we must give credit where credit is due.

Disagree. In the past, even in successful times, you had panel members who you'd never expect to play, and who didn't. Fellas with AI medals who rarely, if ever, crossed the white line for Kerry.
I don't think you could say this about the present set-up and there's no-one I can think of that I'd worry about if I saw them starting or coming on. In fact I'd say the panel overall is stronger than any I can remember. There's lads not even making the matchday 26 who'd walk onto the starting 15 in most counties.

Totally agree there is 30 plus lads that are of a good standard. The only positions that i feel we are a bit light of cover is midfield and full back.

What with the closed-gate training, we rely on you guys for such insight and for which I hunger as we know so little of that aspect of the show. I had a chat of an evening with one of those involved and it was intriguing, adds so much to the public appreciation of it all.
