Legion were unbeaten in Division 2 in 2017. Also they may have Jonathan Lyne for the league this year.

Dingle Crokes final
To go down - Glenbeigh, Templenoe (particularly if Killian Adrian and Gavin Crowley are retained by Kerry for championship panel) and Spa

Dingle Crokes final To go down - Glenbeigh, Templenoe (particularly if Killian Adrian and Gavin Crowley are retained by Kerry for championship panel) and Spa Dingle will be minus quite a few players from last years county league team if Barry O’Sullivan, Matthew Flaherty, Tom O’Sullivan , Conor Geaney continue with Kerry panel; this could see them struggle for scores. Crokes will also be minus Murphy, White & possibly Casey from county league duties- they may have the strength in depth in Kiely/ Shaw/Naughton but U-20s will also impact. Think it’s impossible predicting outcomes based on the fact that many teams will be well below strength for league.

The massive Kerry panel will cause havoc to the County league if they do not release players - from previous discussions upto 50 players "involved" with seniors and another 30 with the u20s'. Makes it very difficult for clubs to play to form if they are scratching to pull a team together due to unavailable players.

Very good discussion on Terrace Talk at the moment about the county league.
Bryan Sheehan will probably be the best player in Division 1 so they should be OK to survive with Bryan playing.
Crokes and Rathmore in the final.
John Mitchels, Beaufort for the drop. If Templenoe are missing the two Spillanes, Gavin Crowley and Morley they will struggle. But maybe Glenbeigh, if Darran gets into the Kerry panel, would be the other team to go down.

If the guys are retained by Kerry then Templenoe will struggle.
It’s a tough league perhaps Rathmore or Gaeltacht or Dingle against Crokes in the final - think Gaeltacht might start slowly after their intermediate exertions over the winter

Crokes still probably favourites to win this. Would like to see Rathmore make a good sustained challenge this year though to reach final. Templenoe to be relegated along with Mitchell's. Hard to call though alot will depend on availability of county players etc.

I say Mitchels every year but they manage to stay up. Beaufort Templenoe but it's hard to know with County players missing and players going away for the Summer. O'Rahilly's have been affected by this the last couple of years.
A lot of factors will come into it. I think Crokes Rathmore Dingle should be 3 certs to be Ok.

Why do so many say that John Mitchels will go down, and it was the same when they were in Division 2, every year yet have defied the critics for 4 years now including the year they were promoted to Division 1 in 2015 ?.

All 3 promoted teams with good wins and gaining valuable points. Beating Dingle , Rathmore and Mitchell’s. 3 solid div 1 teams. Sets it up to be an interesting league.

Dingle had 5 players in Croke park yesterday. I presume they were also missing a few from colleges final that was played earlier on Saturday afternoon before the legion game.

The 26 on duty in Croke Park came from Division 1 - 17 (Dingle 5, Crokes 4, KOR 3, Gaeltacht 2, Rathmore, Templenoe and Legion 1 each.) Division 2 - 4 (Stacks, Na Gael, Kenmare, Kilcummin one each) Division 3 - 2 (Laune Rangers and Ballydonoghue one each) Division 4 - 3 (Fossa, St Michaels Foilmore, Tarbert)
Were all other pannelists allowed back to their clubs (assuming they were injury free) for the league games?

Ross O'Callaghan and Cormac Coffey played with Kerins O'Rahillys as did Killian Spillane with Templenoe; Morley and Crowley still both on the injured list.

Have heard nothing. Kerry could use him in the backs watching the way teams are running through them.

Will county players be available to clubs for next weekends league fixtures? Round takes place in April which is supposed to be “club” month according to GAA HQ?

County players will not be in action next week end in county leagues. That's a shame, why so? Are kerry going on a training weekend? County players were only available for club championships , not county league. There are suggestions that the extended squad of 11/12 players will not be available either. Crokes/Dingle fixture would be the worst affected, Kerins O’Rahillys would be down 5 of yesterday’s team for their game with An Ghaeltacht!

If they are allowed play semifinals on 28/29 april and final may weekend you would think they would allow them play county league this weekend, player’s on fringes of panel should be allowed play club football in co league.

Its about time clubs came together and stopped this power Eamon Fitzmaurice has County players should be playing this weekend as no championship game in the near future. My own club has no County Players but i would definitely like to see these players playing with the clubs as these are the clubs that brought these players to the inter county level.

This has gone beyond a joke, the extended panel should be released at the very least.
