To be honest, I gave said before. Fitzmaurice and his team are not at the races tactically. Dublin in 13 was the high watermark. He analysed weakness in Dublin and went after them.
He can pin point and exploit opposition weaknesses but no minimize our own

Good article by Tomas. There is certainly something in the theory that Eamonn believes that the best way of competing with Dublin is the mayo model. Mayo are super aggressive and physical with Dublin. They pretty much go man to man. Eamonn may well be right but I don't think this team currently have the ability to play this game. A big part of this is the pressure the forwards put on the opposing defenders in order to slow them down and allow players to funnel back. It is far too easy currently for the opposition to break through the first line of tacklers and then they are running at pace through the middle of our defence.

One of the things i recall from Colm's book was the sense of frustration that came across at how fixated he felt Kerry were v Dublin in 2015 and how it inhibited Kerrys performance. It was all about containing Dublin and that was a mistake he felt.
