The Intermediate final is on at 4 in Austin Stack’s Park, with the junior final at 2 being the curtain raiser... The Intermediate relegation game is at 1:30 in Lewis Road
Fair play to Kilcumin, they have bounced back very well from relegation. Many would have thought they would have been one of the weaker teams to get relegated in recent years and that they may spend a few years in the doldrums but with the addition of Gary Leary and Sean Leary from last year’s team they look a force once more. Apparently Kevin Mc was to the fore once more for Kilcumin, he’s showing great form at the moment and will be in with a great chance of starting for championship

Kilcummin v Glenflesk should be a good game in the final.

Glenflesk v Kilcummin is a final not too many would have picked six weeks ago. It should be a great game. Glenflesk have a young team with only one player over 25 starting. They have a very exciting full forward line with Lee O'Donoghue and Daragh Roche both in excellent form. Kilcummin are a more experienced team, rejuvenated under Willie Maher, with a couple of returning players and the form of Kevin Mac taking them back to a high level that they haven't achieved in a number of years.
An interesting side note is that Kilcummin have found success in moving away from an outside manager and back to one of their own while Glenflesk are fulfilling potential with Rathmore man Denis Reen.
Glenflesk to win for me

Kilcummin have accounted for a strong Templenoe outfit who in turn knocked Spa out,two Div 1 teams which has to make them strong favorites. Glenflesk have been putting up big scores so far and seem to have run away with most games.
I'll go for Glenflesk because forwards still win games in Kerry.
Glenflesk by 1.
Any names to look out for don't know too many on either side bar McCarthy, O'Brien & Roche.

As i was at home for the weekend said ill head back to Tralee to catch the 2 county Finals, everything was set up perfectly, faboulous weather, perfect for football and I was not dissappointed. I thought the 2 games were of the highest quality and hugely entertaining. As i’m currently based and living in East Cork (hurling Country i know) the level of the 4 teams i saw today is on a different planet to what ive seen anywhere in Cork in recent times.
Overall, Kilcummin are probably deserving winners, they seemed to have the toughest group and won all theyre games and beat a Templenoe team in the Semi who were favourites for the title. I cant comment too much because i don’t be around much anymore to see many games but Kerry club football seems to be in good health at the moment. Well done to them for bouncing straight back up

Almost as good a game as the curtain raiser.
Kilcummin flew out of the traps and were 10 points up before Glenflesk woke up. Glenflesk dominated the rest of the first half to find themselves only 3 down at half time.
Glenflesk levelled and went ahead early in the second half. Turning point was a missed penalty for Glenflesk to draw the game with about 10 minutes to go.
Kevin McCarthy, Sean O'Leary, Shane Mc Sweeney and Noel Duggan stood out for the winners.
Jeff O'Donoghue, Lee O Donoghue and Darragh Roche were good for Glenflesk.
Kevin McCarthy MOTM in my opinion.

A very entertaining game. Kilcummin were really good on the day with Shane mcsweeney and Sean O'Leary the pick of the bunch. Glenflesk dropped their performance level from the semi final and they were caught cold early finding themselves 10 points down after 15 minutes with Kilcummin finding the net three times in that period. Glenflesk are a young team and nerves were probably responsible for their start. Kilcummin cut through them at great pace and found a level of performance that they have not reached in a few years even allowing for what was a pours us Glenflesk defence. In fairness Glenflesk responded admirably and lead early in the second half. In this period Kevin McCarthy showed himself to be every inch the Kerry senior with some great scores and huge involvement in play. Kilcummin surged three ahead again, but Glenflesk got a penalty which they missed, which I thought could of also resulted in a black card. Shane McSweeney made a sublime leap in the middle of the field moments later and a super quick movement of the ball saw sean o Leary surge away to score his second great goal to seal the game.

I was at the Gneeveguilla vs Laune Rangers game and i must say both teams didnt look like a junior club, Gneeveguilla were pretty much the dominant team but rangers showed great heart to come back with a great run off the ball from wing back carey i belive to get on the ball and score a goal. I would be confident off Gneeveguilla to go back up or at least make a real go if it in the junior next year, and by all accounts are already looking for a new manager for next season as the current manager is stepping down apparently. What managers are there that dont have a club this year?
