Good game alright, and so much better than the earlier dire stuff between Moorefield and Corofin. NUIG should have closed it out when they went a point up late on, but UCD finished strongly with Jack Barry especially driving them on. Much made of Kieran Molloy who dashed from the Corofin game to make the 2nd half for NUIG. He hit the post for a point that could have made a fairytale day for him, but was he marking Casey for UCD's last 2 scores? Nice to see that neither Jack Barry or Conor McCarthy were asked to tog out in Iniskeen the day after. Hope they celebrated well. I agree with Dick Clerkin that Sigerson is a unique experience.

Apparently he got a lift in the back of a Garda car! NUIG saying they didn't organise it. www.independent.ie/irish-news/garda-escort-brought-college-gaa-star-100km-so-he-could-play-in-two-matches-on-one-day-36618446.html

In Freshers football, UL look like they have a good side judging by a big win away to Queens. Anyone know what their Kerry representation is like? DCU have a powerful team also, beating Maynooth last night. www.gaa.ie/highereducation/fixtures-and-results/fresher-1-football-championship/In the small ball game, it is UL v DCU in the Fitzgibbon Cup final this Saturday. Reckon Tony Kelly, Jason Forde, and John McGrath should swing it for Limerick.
