UL were beaten convincingly by UUJm Were 12 points down but made it reasonably respectful in the end.
4-6 to 0-11
Presumably nobody going to Austin Stack Park this evening can stream the Tralee IT game through periscope or FB live?
Would be interesting to see the Kerry lads involved

FT UUJ 4-6 Ul 0-11 UUJ will play the winners of DCU v UCD No current Kerry seniors involved on either side - although Dennis Daly was with UL. UL were down to 14 after a minute -Pearse Lillis of Clare getting a straight red and finished with 13. Ryan McAnespie (who got the first goal in the video below, the number 10) played in Monaghan's game against Mayo but didn't feature against Kildare. I'm nearly sure none of the other lads who started were Monaghan players, they might have had some subs involved. UUJ Team UL Squad Footage of UUJ's first half goals.

2 goals in a minute towards the end of the half mean Tralee are down 10 points at half time.

Big win for DIT.
3-17 to 1-7
No game for Clifford and Gavin Crowley exited at HT according to Twitter reports.
I'd imagine we'll see a much changed Kerry team v Monaghan with a lot of the young lads being worn down.

Wolly suggesting on Twitter one of the scholarship DIT players refused to play tonight in order to remain fresh for Dublin.

Tralee were poor - well beaten at midfield, DIT half back line totally dominant - two goals in the 10 mins before h/t decided it. Clifford out with hamstring trouble, Gavin Crowley had a hand injury bandaged in first half, did not appear for 2nd - 2-07 to 0-03 @ h/t, no way back for Tralee.

Agree completely re Crowley. But also great credit to the IT and Eamon Fitzgerald in the College for the handling of David Clifford & co. from a radio interview last Monday night on terrace talk I heard that Clifford was available once for a league game against Trinity in November and they didn't see him again until week before the Sigerson Queens game .I'm sure Crowley was in the same boat. These boys are on Scholarships and the IT could of done the dog here but they didn't. On a side note, heard a rumor last night and it's in Irish times today that Clifford had Physio in Currans at 6 O'Clock? if this is true this is a disgrace. scheduling it for same time as the game? The boy should of been with the team regardless of if he was playing or not in their preparations. Can you imagine playing and you look around and not see someone the stature of David in the room with you. he was there leader, heads would drop straight away. Very poor of the County board but I'm not surprised. www.irishtimes.com/sport/gaelic-games/flanagan-s-goals-help-dit-to-victory-over-it-tralee-1.3382783I was on the terrace last night and Clifford was on the pitch from about 6.15 with his team.

Squad Lists for the DCU v UCD game today. Seems like someone moved Eanna O'Conchuir across the county boards. Terrible carry-on. Along with Eanna, the other Kerry senior panelists are Barry O'Sullivan, Jack Barry, Tom Leo O'Sullivan and Brian O'Seanachain. Fintan Kelly, Dessie Ward, Michael Bannigan and James Mealiff from DCU and Conor McCarthy have all appeared for the Monaghan seniors at some stage this year.

I was reading the match report on the GAA website and had to smile at the team sheet: UCC (Kerry unless otherwise stated).
I know it happens most years but I still enjoy seeing it

I see Liam Brosnan, the Tralee IT manager, making the point that Clifford's injury was caused by his workload. The GAA has a problem with lads playing and training for multiple teams. At least Brosnan said that Clifford never trained with Tralee, which is not ideal for the team preparation either. I think for these few weeks, lads should play Sigerson and nothing else. You could argue that playing senior county is more important, well, yes and no. Firstly lads only get a few years to play Sigerson. Second, county teams have much bigger squads to pick from, and someone like Clifford is much more important to Tralee than he is to Kerry. Meanwhile, according to reports, Brian Howard refused to to travel to Tralee to play for DIT, as he wanted to focus on playing for Dublin. www.sportsjoe.ie/gaa/dublin-player-refusing-sigerson-cup-149904Strange call if he is in DIT on a GAA scholarship. I guess the college will revoke that scholarship.
