First I heard of seeding, but if true, yes it would be hard see fossa get out of a group The four top seeds would probably be beaufort, na Gael, listowel and ballymacelligot. With David clifford on board they should not fear the latter two. Ballydonoghue be 2nd or 3rd seed which will make success difficult for them. Going to be great month of april with new formats

When you say "under the table" are you saying above and beyond legitimate expenses and professional fees (where qualified people are being paid eg. physio's etc). How have you come up with your number?

Waste of money imo. Look at results for 2017. Dr Crokes County senior and Club Champions, An Gaeltacht Intermediate Champions, Dromid Junior Premiership, managed by their own club men. I think Nemo have one of their own as well.

It's obvious from list the homegrown managers but surely they not expected to do it for nothing. ? Obviously the outside managers are getting good gravy but all managers should be getting something? Huge workload involved.

Paying Managers has been going on for as long as I remember and it won't stip as ye said due to the workload. Any other rumours out there are Pat O Shea and Declan Sullivan staying on with Crokes and Dromid Perases respectively.

Clubs spending small fortunes on outside managers. That money would be better spent on putting in good coaching structures and on coach education How long before Croke Pk issues a decree that only club members to manage club teams. I'd welcome it.

Long gone are the days when the manager trained the team as well. It’s absolutely crazy for clubs to be paying a manager & another guy to do the strength & conditioning / training which is happening up & down the country. The whole manager thing looks like a merry go round to me, it’s like if I do well here where will I be next or the following year. Fair play to the likes of pat O Shea for staying with the crokes, on the basis of what some of these so called managers are getting he’d be worth serious money on the transfer market!!!

Anyone know when the County Football & Hurling League Fixtures will be released? Draft fixtures are currently with the clubs, so would expect them to be finalised shortly - Division 5 has not been finalised due to applications from Dingle and Kerins O'Rahillys to field "B" teams in this division which would result in 15 teams competing - this could result in Div 5 being split in two.

Small clubs need outside managers as u need to change it up.u cant have the same faces year in year out going no where and if u are going to be putting in big effort it might aswell be under someone that can bring the best out in the team.the small clubs who are lucky to have old players who played top level are lucky as they might get a few years under them.

Hopefully Pat O' Shea will stay with the Crokes senior team, I would be slightly worried if he decided against it as he certainly commands the respect of all the players. All should be known on Friday 19th January as the AGM takes place so I would hope a decision is made by then. I'm fairly sure Pat will stay on.
Alternative options for Crokes would be:
Harry O' Neill & Denis Coleman (Harry previously managed Crokes senior teams, Denis Coleman is outgoing Chairman and was involved in Crokes management setup previously).
Vince Casey (possibility of a joint role with Noel O' Leary, both of whom previously held joint managerial roles).
Edmund O' Sullivan (Eddie "Tatler" O'Sullivan's son, he has managed the Crokes minors for last 5 years or so and would have a great knowledge of both young and older players. Perhaps too close to many of the current players coming to the twilight of their careers so it may be too soon for him).
Vince Cooper and Connie Murphy are names that pop up whenever the Crokes job is up for grabs but have both previously refused the option to be involved for different reasons. It is my understanding that Crokes will not go outside the club so if Pat was to decide against it this year then I would be surprised if it wasn't one of these options.

I'd say there is no manager on less than 80 to a 100 a night and that's in all divisions one to five. Plus gear Yes but how much of that goes to the taxman?
