Whats the going rate these days required to attract managers to these clubs? Going rate between €80 and €120 a session! Fairly impressive cottage industry. Average session probably 100 euro per night 3 nights/days per week 12-1500 euro per month over 6-8 months. I knew a lad who had two clubs on the go in two different counties. Personally I think the clubs are mad to be engaging in this stuff.

Will the change to the Championship (September start) have an effect on the US exodus and make the league more interesting with teams missing fewer players or will the exodus continue and impact clubs/divsions preparations for the start of the championship.

I believe the general consensus is that if you go to US that you are kissing goodbye to championship football - players cannot expect to forego playing in Ireland during the summer and then pick it up for the championship - just won’t happen. A lot will depend on clubs/divisions chances of progressing in the championship - cannot see players hanging around if they don’t see themselves as having a realistic cut in the championship.

What's bringing Seamus to Fossa?

What's bringing Seamus to Fossa? Probably the same thing that brought John Evans there. And David Clifford. And the chance of a Junior Club All Ireland.

I wonder is it part of a package that he would assigned a mentor? I would have no problem with that. What ever it takes....

Moynihans a great man if he’s agreed to take on a clubs senior team just to mentor David Clifford on behalf of the Kerry County Board. He’s gone with Fossa because he obviously is getting well compensated for the time he’s going to be putting into it.

Only one thing brought Evans to fossa.....cash Moynihan is different, trying to build a managerial career from a competitive level with a team that has chance of championship success

Without being crass, that last comment is laughable. Fossa wouldn’t be in the top 5-6 teams for the junior championship and that’s being generous. Glenflesk have a more realistic chance of giving the intermediate a go than Fossa have at the junior. I’m sure Seamus was asked to go with Glenflesk and several other clubs too. The fact is he was likely offered stupid money to do Fossa. There’s Division 1 and 2 teams vying for the junior. Fossa would be a long ways off it. If he wins a junior with them I’ll tip my cap to him.

Can you name your six teams ahead fossa? Beaufort, ballydonoghue, na Gael are only ones I can see. Once their group did not consist one of three mentioned above they should make semi. Fossa would need lot things go their way for junior success but don't rule it out

I don’t want to beating up on a club, I’d love to see Fossa kicking on as a club. but I can’t see them contending for the premier junior. You can repost this if I’m wrong in 4 months time. I don’t think any team in the draw will be fearing Fossa. The draw will be likely seeded on last years county league places. So Fossa are going to be in the 3rd group of seeds if not fourth, as the were relegated to division 4. So they’ll definitely draw the likes of a Beaufort or a Na Gaeil. Listowel, Annascaul, Firiies, skellig, Keel, St Pats if they have all their players, they’d all fancy their chances in a game against Fossa
