A hail Mary in towards Sean Cavanagh and Marc that got deflected into the path of another Moy player levelled it on 60 minutes. Pure desperation stuff that paid off.
An Ghaeltacht were the better team over all in a hard hitting encounter.
On 38 mins the full forward Eanna OConchuir got a red card but it you couldnt see why from the TV as the screen showed a replay of BOBs point.
PJ McLaimh had his elbow deliberately bent against the joint and had to go off. He came back on and at the death. he hada simple chance to equalize..he went for a goal and narrowly missed.
Marc was flying and you feel he would have done damage out the field but he stayed at full back on Sean Cavanagh.

Sometimes in sport you don't get what you deserve and that was certainty the case for An Ghaeltacht today.
Moy players and management should stop and buy lotto tickets on their way home.
Don't know what Eanna did but while Gaeltacht managed the game from the sending off until injury time, Eanna's presence was sorely missed.
Sean Cavanagh just put Marc off balance for the goal but there should have been more bodies back at that stage to help out.
PJ Hand was right to go for the goal and he will obviously be gutted for a while to come but he is a good young player and will bounce back.

Tough match. An Gaelteacht had it but!!!!!!. Some mystifying reffing decisions. Could not see what red card was for. A lot of pulling and dragging. An Gaelteacht deserved the win but!!!!. 7 mins injury time?

I think i heard them saying that david gough was the linesman ...sean cavanagh created a big fuss over the incident but there was no one down, no one bleeding..... The ref went all the way into the umpires after talking to gough but they were miles away from what happened.

In fact Philip Jordan was claiming he didn't see why any Moy player should have been sent off!! Overall Gaelteacht were better but shoud have seen it out.

Fully agree Hurlingman. Brian Ó Beaglaoich had a great game. Great football brain. Even thhough the game was there for the taking for Gaeltacht I feel they were "hard done by"

Colm Cavanagh should have got a black card after ten minutes for a late challenge on Begley after he laid off the ball but the ref bottled it.

The Gaeltacht boys were too conservative in the first half, with too many players behind the ball. There are plenty of good forwards on that team to play their usual exansive game which if deployed today would I feel have won them the game, The paradox of course is that when they needed that blanket to sustain a three point lead it was not there. However, it must mist be said that they gave an extremely brave and defiant display in the aecond half when down a man.
Nobody seems to know why Eanna was dismissed but it appears that the Gough blight struck again. Sean Kavangh seemed to be very determined a red be issued . That could mean that a very serious incident took place or that it was poor sportsmanship on Sean's part . Will we ever know? I remember Eanna got a red card also in the All-Ireland final. I felt was a harsh one because he was being repeatedly fouled off the ball.
That O'Beaglaigh is a hardy boy for a tidy little man. Looking forward to seeing him before the NFL is over.
Overall of course it was dreadful spectacle with defensive orientation of both sides and wild, reckless tackling. The exciting finish I suppose will cloak that assessment.

I thought Mac antSaor was excellent and especially so with kickouts. After the Moy goal he put the next kickout hanging over a colleagues head in midfield and posession was won....alas nothing came of that play.

Sean Cavanagh's yellow should have been a black midway through the second half. Don't know where the ref got 6 minutes extra time from, the goal came on the 63rd minute. Moy played 15 behind the ball for all of the second half with the aid of a strong wind. Scour football.

Tough luck on Gaeltacht. I felt the holding onto the ball was very risky near the end. I know they had to do it but at one stage went right across the goal and the corner back was pushed out for a 45. Moy went short and I actually think Cavanaghs shot went over but was flagged wide. The Moy goal came from a hopeful ball in, I was surprised that the west kerry men didnt have more bodies back but its easy to say from the comfort of the couch. It wasnt the greatest of viewing but its a long drawn out season and Gaeltacht wont have much rest as im sure they will be back in action shortly in the west kerry league and county league. They will be very disappointed but much like Dromid, they did the county proud and shouldnt dwell on it too long. A county and Munster title is still a great achievement no matter what way you look at it

He's been like that for most of his career, byt has never got the stick others have. Has always been one for the high ones and dragging down

Cavanagh is one of the gaa’s Pets, he’s always spouting about the “great gaa” and “the community of the gaa” such deflection after he’s orchestrated another bogball contest. An Gaeltacht were the football team but Moy won the “contest”. They certainly didn’t win the football because like all Tyrone teams they don’t play it. Tyrone seniors today with their eight points against Galway. Typical, if they could win a game two points to one they would be happy. Disgusted with Moys tactics yesterday, to think those football Neanderthals can win an all ireland club is shocking.

Disgusted with Moys tactics yesterday, to think those football Neanderthals can win an all ireland club is shocking. Having seen a few of Tyrone's McKenna cup games they are well capable of playing exciting football, but when faced with a team that does that much better than them, like An Ghaeltacht and like Galway, they revert back to plan A. One of the Moy players was saying before the game that if it would be a contest of open play and who has the best footballers 1 to 15 they would have no chance so why would they play open and expansive football. Tyrone have said multiple times that they are not in the business of entertainment. Their players and supporters couldn't care less if a game ended in 0-0 0-0 and they win the replay by 0-0 0-1. Anything they have to do to win, they will do. They have a very different attitude and if it means that 15 players will concede 15 yellow cards stopping an opposition player from doing well they will gladly switch all 15 players in turn on that player until they pick up a yellow card. They are ruthless and couldn't care less if they play horrible football or lovely football, they only want a win. In a way I admire their determination, but I can't bring myself to liking the way they play "football".

Moy werent going to cough up many goal chances.

An Ghaeltacht moved 3 points clear on 61 minutes and all they had to do was prevent a goal. If the shoe was on the other foot, Moy would have put 14 behind the 45 yard line and conceded the restart. Moy were hardly going to kick 3 points in injury time.
Even after conceding the goal, they made two bad mistakes. Marc went for a point that wasnt really on but kicked it to the keeper and it was worked down the field for the lead point. The second blunder was PJ McLaimhs shot for a goal with the keeper and a defender to beat. In his defense his left elbow was strapped and maybe he didnt feel confident in fisting over an easy point to equalise.
By comparison Moy were ruthlessly efficient once they got the break.

They went for the win instead of ensuring they didn't lose which was admirable but ultimately cost them. I think if they had gotten to extra time they would have had a chance to regroup and would also have been back to 15. I don't think Moy would've finished with 15 in extra time as they had a number on yellow cards. Woulda/coulda/shoulda

A word of congratulations due to our neighbours in Knocknagree and Kanturk on their All Ireland wins at the weekend. Good Kerry influence as many of the Knocknagree players would have gone to school in Rathmore.

Some Kerry interest in the second All Ireland Club semi-final tomorrow. I wonder if Slaughtneil will get another day in Croke Park or if Nemo will continue to reassert themselves on the big stage.

I hope Slaughtneil win. It would be horrible to see Tomas lining out for a Cork team in an All Ireland final in Croke Park. I see the Nemo manager say if they reach their Munster Final level they should win - at least he's honest.

Great win by Nemo, started slowly and slaughtneil should have been up more at half time. Second half was a cracker. Tomas was the TG4 man of the match.

Some achievement for Tomas to get man of the match in a 90 minute game at 40 years of age at this level of the game. Class is permanent, the best of luck to Tomas & Nemo in the final.

Of all teams! I loved Tomas when he played for Kerry but I’d not wish them luck for all the literal and metaphorical tripe in Cork (neither of which have supply side issues).
