The narrative from the Mayo blog is that Aidan O Shea should give up football as the 'poor guy is being unfairly targetted' also he must he psychologically effected Willie Joe is deleting comments all over the place accusing one guy of being a kerry fan and having an agenda

My last word on it. Poor Willie Joe. Having such a tough time today with his rabid censorship ---
Okay, to all of you who have either had comments deleted or not allowed up at all today, this one is for you. For everyone else, this is a small insight into what Comment Moderation HQ can sometimes look like. Here goes:
Jon – have you really not got the message at this stage? Comments that blatantly break the rules are not going to be posted here.
Jeff – I think I let the odd one or two up from you today. Control your emotions, for the love of God. Maybe reread what you’ve written before you post. It’ll help, trust me.
Bottler jobs – * off and annoy someone else.
Bill Connolly – back again, I see. You have neck, I’ll give you that.
Mighty Quinn – your talents will flourish on Facebook, I’m sure.
Mayoman – you knew what you were posting was against the rules but you did it anyway. Double the time in moderation for dumbness.
Dan (not the real one who posts here all the time) – find an original handle for posting here. Find a brain while you’re at it.
Hon Mayo – you’re clearly being ironic with that handle in light of what you tried to post.
Hontheros – nice to know that bitter, twisted and sad people are still alive and well.
Mrwalker124 – see comment above directed at Mighty Quinn. Maybe try your hand as a duo?
Gfg – when are you going to get the message?
Ah ref – I thought it was obvious why I won’t allow your comments to be posted. It’s because they are, without exception, entirely without merit. Stick to your Twitter nonsense.
Rc (AKA George) – go read the house rules if you want to continue posting here.
Cavanforsam – you’re correct in surmising that your comment wouldn’t be posted. Try harder.
GAA – clearly you don’t speak for the GAA. Clearly you’re a Kerryman still protesting too much after last weekend.
Marybeau – another person who hasn’t got the hint at this stage, always a pleasure to see you crawling out from under that stone whenever a Galway match is on. You’re another one for whom Facebook would be an ideal outlet for your talents.

Had to laugh at Kevin Walsh. Having been asked about the "handbags", he said he didn't see any.
Even Arsene wouldn't go that far.

Have to love this comment though... "should we go to the Dublin game next weekend….or just send a Mass Card?" And this... "I’d be more worried if I was a galway supporter than a Mayo one tonight to be quite honest about it" (bizarre!)

Career ending for Brogan if true-this was surely his last hurrah. Meanwhile in division 2 www.breakingnews.ie/sport/selector-shane-stapleton-taken-to-hospital-as-tipperary-draw-at-clare-827555.htmlTippeary selector pushed over by Jamie Malone of Clare, hits head on concrete and later taken to hospital. Very serious incident if true and the GAA will need to investigate this. It looks very bad for the association. Sidelines of some GAA games are a shambles compared to other codes at times and something like this incident is not surprising.

If we wanted to read what Mayo 'fans' think and write, we'd go over to their forums/blogs/pages etc and read them. So can we keep them off here please.
The incidents in Salthill need to be investigated and the appropriate meaningful sanction applied to both counties.
I hope that Tipp selector is ok. I read somewhere that the collision with the Clare player was accidental?
On a more practical level, Galway will pose a real challenge when they visit us on the 25th.

Reports this morning that brogan has done his cruciate. Awful for him if true. If this is the end of BBs career then its a sad way for him to end it. Class act on and off the field and i cant ever recall a nasty blow by him. February and March seem to be when most of these injuries happen and it seems to happen to forwards more.

He'd be targeted like another 'Ingredient' of the same street by the name of Sexton, performing artists interrupted by rogues in the audience, you'd fear for Johnny, Lord almighty but what they give us!

Interesting Tweet from Brendan Keely after the Derry/Offaly league game was called off on Sunday last. Brendan is now goalkeeper coach with the Offaly team which is now managed by Ardfert man Stephen Wallace.
“GAA insistent on having its busiest fixture list during the worst months of the year for weather with no contingency plans!! Players all over the country having to rearrange work, personal lives etc. again. This game called off at 12.26 today!! #JOKE #actionslouderthanwords #gaa”
That accurately sums up the situation I would say.

Tough on Brogan. Brilliant player. Im sure he will be back. Dublin have enough good Forwards to win it without him. Colm Basquel and Paddy Small are on the panel this year. Both exciting prospects.

I was at the scene of the crime to witness Galway v Dún na nGall in the flesh, actually the Sunday after we shaded my Donegal buddies by the minimum by The Lakes (ours), now maybe notions to me but bearing in mind that expansive encounter, it looked like the Tribesmen exploited the inherent vulnerability of such openness (i.e Spillane Grade purist attacking modus-operandi game plan), and punished Dún na nGall accordingly, albeit also by the minimum, and by their Lakes.
I am going to upset the Tribesmen party and flag the threat. Blooding is inherently expansive and so exposes vulnerability and so, this dogged Galway team will open us up, unless we have a Plan B. Ah I'm sure we have!
Ballythefireside quote of the day - Many the man accused of swallowing a library had actually downed the top shelf, and not all such spirit is pioneering.

While I agree with the sentiment- I’d ask what has Brendan done in his prob 10 years at intercounty level to highlight this? We know fixtures are an issue but GAA players rarely say anything until they are retired. They have a union, albeit a one in thrall to the GAA, whereby they can air these grievances or they could raise the issue with the county board via their club. However most incumbent players seem to be meek and opinion-less and thus nothing changes

They don’t have a union or a real voice to be honest- the power is with the players and if they accept the status quo then that’s how it will be. The GPA allowing itself to be taken under the GAAs wing was/is a disaster and a hindrance to any progressive changes in scheduling and player welfare.

When was the last time a match involving Kerry was cancelled or postponed? I personally can’t recall any other match I planned to attend being called off at the last minute. So it’s a rare event but lessons should still be learned and the main one is that 11am is far too late to make such a decision. Arguably 9am was also too late. There are very good Met Office services on both sides of the border which would have in all probability advised postponement the night before or earlier. It shouldn't be about playability of the pitch alone.

You can understand the frustration
There has been much criticism of the late decision to call off the game, after Derry released a statement at 12:36pm on Sunday, less than an hour and a half ahead of the scheduled throw-in time.
The heavy snow in Ulster on Saturday night had cast doubt over the fixture, but at 10am, the game was said to be on, only for it to be postponed at the 11th hour.

We're just after having a sustained pop at some Mayo fans and now we are suggesting that a Dublin forward somehow got what he deserved when he got injured?
