Where/when is the Cork game on? It’s not set in stone that we play Cork next! Limerick play Tipperary next week at a Limerick venue - if they ( Limerick) win that, they then play Waterford - I would expect them to win this if they overcome Tipp; Kerry would then play Clare in the semi as Limerick could not be pitted against Clare having played them in the first round- repeat fixtures are avoided.

Tipp v Limerick has gone to extra-time.
Tipperary 2-7 (13) Limerick 1-10 (13) after normal time.
Was 1-5 to 1-4 to Tipp at Half-time and Tipp got a goal and were up by 5 points at one stage during the 2nd half. However Limerick clawed them back and levelled in the last few minutes to take it to extra-time.
Pretty sure there is a free-taking competition if the sides are level after a 2nd period of extra-time.
At half-time of extra-time Tipperary 2-9 (15) Limerick 1-11 (14)

Do we know anything about Cork, likely team, players to watch etc.. Full forward is their danger man, Lucey. Kerry North & Kerry South beat both Cork teams in the development squads games last year in U-16. Cork colleges were not prominent in this years Frewen Cup but overall it’s hard to know with this age group.

I think the Cork full forward line scored something like 3-10 between them in the opening game but it was Waterford they were playing.

No Crokes player in the entire squad? When is the last time this happened at minor grade?

Made hard work of that, could have being easily going back to PUC for a replay. Big difference between u17 & u18. This championship could go anywhere I'd say! Felt very much like a juvenile football match.

Very poor by Kerry. That's an average Cork side. There is players in the County that should be playing that are not and that will come back to bite them. I can only seeing them winning Munster and that's it unless there are some changes.

Thought Paul o shea was the stand out player while Paul Walsh, dan McCarthy and dan Murphy looked good aswell, midfield was the problem area though and got cleaned out

Well done on staying alive in this years competition- will need to improve if they want to keep the great run going.
Whether it’s the fact we have won four on the trot or the change in age, this years campaign is not grabbing the attention as in previous years. Personally I think it’s the age change.

Kerry minors hit late winner to end Cork comeback Tuesday, May 08, 2018 - 08:39 PM By Eoghan Cormican Sports Reporter
Kerry 1-11 Cork 1-10
By Eoghan Cormican
A Jack O’Connor point in the second minute of injury-time progressed Kerry to a seventh Munster MFC final in a row.
Trailing by 0-7 to 1-3 early in the second-half, Kerry appeared to have made the decisive burst when kicking six unanswered points to move 1-9 to 0-7 ahead.
But Cork slowly ate into their opponents’ advantage and drew level when Conor Corbett rattled the net in the 61st minute. This one had extra-time written all over it only for Kerry sub Jack O’Connor to fist the winner. The victory extends Kerry’s winning-run at minor level to 26 games.
Cork would have been the more disappointed with the interval scoreline of 1-3 to 0-6. All told, they should have been in front. Yes, they struggled early on as Kerry racked up an early 1-1, but between the eighth and 33rd minute, they outscored their hosts by 0-6 to 0-1.
Having recovered from the setback of Paul Walsh’s seventh-minute goal, Cork had the deficit cut to the minimum by the 18th minute.
Here is where they became slightly wasteful, slightly unlucky.
Conor Corbett, who kicked each of their four first-half points from play, had his goal shot blocked by the body of Dan Murphy. In the subsequent action, Niall Harnett and Aodhán Ó Luasa - the contributor of two first-half frees - put through Corbett for another goal chance. This time, the crossbar denied the Clyda Rovers corner-forward. And when Sean McDonnell dropped a point effort shortly after, one wondered if Cork would ever get back on level terms.
On 23 minutes, Corbett had them level, with the same played edging the visitors in front approaching the break.
Kerry could have had a second goal if Patrick D’Arcy offloaded to the unmarked Paul Walsh in first-half stoppages. It didn’t materialise, although Walsh did have the final say of the half when kicking Kerry’s first score in 16 minutes to tie up matters.
They'll bid for a sixth consecutive Munster minor crown next month.
Scorers for Kerry: P Walsh (1-3, 0-2 frees); R Ó Beaglaoich (0-2 frees), D McCarthy, J O’Connor (0-2 each); D Rahilly, J Kennelly (0-1 each).
Scorers for Cork: C Corbett (1-4); A Ó Luasa (0-4, 0-4 frees); N Harnett, J Kelleher (0-1 each).

Subs: J O’Connor (Beaufort) for Rahilly (40 mins); D Dineen for Kennelly, S Quilter (Austin Stacks) for D’Arcy (both 55).

Kingdom minors extend unbeaten run to 26 games as they set up showdown with Clare
Kerry 1-11 Cork 1-10
Kerry’s winning run at minor level continued at Austin Stack Park on Tuesday night, but it took a tremendous defensive performance late on to suppress a Cork comeback in a thrilling Munster MFC semi-final played in front of 3,772.
It took a 62nd minute punched point by substitute Jack O’Connor to stretch the Kingdom’s unbeaten run to 26 games and they will now meet Clare in the final.
It was an even opening half with Cork’s midfield of Niall Hartnett and Joseph Harte on top, but Cork wasted far too many scoring chances - with the notable exception of Conor Corbett who kicked four first half points from play, while Aodhán Ó Luasa converted two frees.
Kerry got an early goal from Paul Walsh who was well shackled by David Buckley, while Dan McCarthy Darragh Rahilly and Walsh added points as the sides were level 1-3 to 0-6 at half time.
Kerry held sway in the second half with captain Paul O’Shea giving a man of the match display as his side hit six unanswered points from Walsh (two), Ruaidhrí Ó Beaglaoich (two frees) and one each from Dan McCarthy and substitute Jack O’Connor.
Kerry led by four but Cork refused to give up and after a point from Ó Luasa and a well-worked goal from Corbett in the 61st minute it looked as if extra time was on the cards. But then super-sub Jack O’Connor punched the winning point in the final minute to secure a dramatic win for the Kingdom.
Kerry: M Kelliher ; C Flannery , K O’Donoghue , D Mangan ; C Moriarty , D McCarthy (0-2), D Murphy; D Rahilly (0-1), D Lyne ; P Walsh (1-3, 2f), P O’Shea , K Falvey ; P D’Arcy , J Kennelly , R Ó Beaglaoich (2, 2f). Subs: J O’Connor (0-2)for D Rahilly (40), D Dineen for J Kennelly (0-1) (55), S Quilter for P Darcy (55).
Cork: D Doody ; D Connolly , D Buckley , C O’Donovan ; F Cronin , D Phelan , E Nation; N Hartnett (0-1), J Harte ; H Murphy , Dara O’Sullivan , E Cooke ; S McDonnell , A O’Luasa (0-4, 4f), C Corbett (1-4). Subs: M O’Neill for S McDonnell (27), J Kelliher )0-1)for D O’Sullivan (45), G Carey for J Harte (46) R Lombard for H Murphy (55), J O’Shea for C O’Donovan (56).
Referee: S Lonergan (Tipperary)

I can only seeing them winning Munster and that's it unless there are some changes. You may be right but it’s hard to argue with this management team - they have had a panel in place since two weeks after winning last years title, have had over 40 players starting out whittling it down to 24 over time and taking in numerous under age club & college games to arrive at the best panel - reckon this team will improve bearing in mind that this was probably the biggest game these guys have played so far in their young careers. Agree on the age change, the year age difference really shows in the players. I thought the backs were solid bar for the late goal, centre field struggled at times but came into it in the second half, number 11 o Shea was immense, he seemed to be everywhere. Some of the forwards are a bit light, a few of them were ushered away from goal quiet easily at times. It’s hard to access how good we are but Cork will be kicking themselves for conceding the late point having chased the game all night. Last years u17s looked far better & they were turned over by Roscommon so I think the unknown is now a big factor at this age group.

After watching a lot of underage football. It's hard to see how Colin Crowley Mike Lenihan and Shane Doona are not in the forwards. All gifted at scoring. Darragh O'Dongohue is another that should be on the bench at least. Sean Quilter should be starting. Mark Cooper Alan Dineeen Sean Og O'Morain should be at least subs. Ruairi Doyle and Kieran O'Sullivan other backs. Emmet O'Shea another forward.
I dunno I must be away off. Just don't think this is the best panel in the county.

far too much criticism of what is a great win. this means minor football into late summer. beating cork, in a knock out game is always a great result, so well done to all. that win will bring them on now.

The most satisfying thing about the performance was the way they went straight up the field after the goal to score the winner. They think like winners.
They will improve a lot. They are still in school. A full summer training will make a big difference.

If you offered Peter Keane a one point win before the game he would have snapped your hand off. Especially if you also told him that his team wouldnt perform to their potential. Kerry will now still be in the championship in 3 months time so loads of time for work to be done or new fellas to force their way onto the team or panel. Those who stood out for me were McCarthy and Moriarty in the backs, Paul O Shea in midfield and Paul Walsh in the forwards.
