Sean Powter as a corner back. Surely if you are doing dummy teams, it needs to be a bit more subtle than this. Has he ever played anywhere in the backs before? Played there at college level and minor level and a fine defende he was at that level. I presume he will be detailed to mark James as he has loads of pace.

Would seem a bit of gamble though to put him on JOD. Suppose they haven't much to lose at this stage though, with not much defensive talent to call on.

I know Seanie O Shea came onto the bench instead of David three weeks ago but its great to see him named on the panel for tomorrow. I can only think of Barry John Walsh and Tommy Walsh to have played for the seniors in their first year out of minor since Declan in 2003. I like the look of the Kerry team. I can see the thinking behind having Maher in there. We are a small bit light in the middle 8 in terms of height and strength so Maher should help address that. Nice to have a combination of pace and experience to bring on in the last 30 minutes in the likes of Killian, Jack Barry, Johnny, O'Brien, Darran, Lyne and BJK. Kerry to hit around the 22 or 23 point mark and win by 6 or 7 for me. Maybe Fitsy is looking to see how far the starting 15 take us, a kind of like ending with the best 15? There is also less risk that more experienced lads would fail to fire in what is our first big day out of the year. And now I know Fitsy & co aren't thinking this way but given the emerging talent, would we enhance our prospects if we were building up with a string of backdoor games, a bit like Tyrone the year then won Sam having had was it 10 games, including a draw vs Dubs. As auld Peig would say, is ait an mhac an tsaol.

When was the last time Kerry beat Cork in a Munster final in Killarney without an O'Se from Ard a Bhothair in the starting 15?
I was thinking this today....think i know the answer...... but not sure?

Very quiet on here for a Munster final I'm wondering if the provincial footbs championship is as in demand as those apposed to a restructure are saying. There were more posts on league games then here

As much fun as it sounds- I care little for hammering cork and would be happy with a win today. My opinion is Kerry by 4 and that's what I would set as par.
Kerry 1-14 cork 1-10 is how I view it

I dont know if you are excited about winning munster any more, or if there was ever a time when this were the case - I think that you should feel satisfied if nothing else that your team are well in control and that they are sitting fairly pretty for a challenge in croke park. I think that Cork are just not able to lift it any more to where they need to be at.

Strange atmosphere in the ground today - total lack of intensity at the game with total lack of Cork banter from their considerable support.
Great to win but hard to fathom how Cork are so poor with their recent dominance at u21 level.

Can someone confirm why Cork's goal was disallowed ? I think 1972 is the correct year for that question. We won a munster final in 1991 in Killarney without them but that was v Limerick.

Clean sweep of Munster titles this year for Kerry - minor, U21, Junior & Senior. When did we last do this?

Clean sweep of Munster titles this year for Kerry - minor, U21, Junior & Senior. When did we last do this? Dont forget the 17s also! Add in the 3 club titles and the colleges and its 9 titles currently in Kerry.

Can someone confirm why Cork's goal was disallowed ? Hit the side netting and net wasn't completely secure so it snuck through.

Didn't the women beat Cork too? I think Tyrone also did a sweep in Ulster some years back.

Some hate being beaten by Cork most of all while we are now moaning because we won by so much. There will always be lulls and aren't we hard to please!
The GAA needs a strong Cork and they be back in time, hopefully counties can avoid internal issues and the rebels aren't the only ones suffering at the moment. We need to be thankful to previous generations for preventing a lot of issues and you can included Dwyer in that for eliminating cronyism on the field.

Congratulations to the Kerry team and management on retaining the Munster title. Kerry went about their business in a very professional manner and really they will know far tougher tests now lie ahead.

Who are we most likely to play in the quarter finals lads? Likely to be Mayo or Donegal unless they draw each other tomorrow. Clare and Meath the other two teams and the winners of those two games play the losers of munster and connacht.

He got a Concussion. He was lucky. Kerry played well but Cork were terrible. Maguire was causing Moran trouble with his pace when he ran at him. That's still the worry for me going forward picking up the runners from deep. Fionn Griffin and Enright were excellent. Crowley Morley and Murphy did well, I can't see no changes with that 6. Moran and Maher did well and Barry when he came on. Mikey Geaney had one of his best games for Kerry. Kevin McCarthy tired hard and did a lot of running. I don'think no.11 is his best position but he did well. Donnacha was poor. He'll struggle to keep his place. O'Brien was very good when he came on. Darren and Buckley also did well. It's hard to leave those three out. Geaney and James were very good. Donaghy gave it everything doesn't have the legs anymore but he tries hard. Killian did ok when he came on apart from the crazy pass to Kelly. Barry John was good again when he came on. That's his best place coming off the bench. Overall good perfomance. Kerry have a strong panel and hopefully that will get them over the next round.

Big positives so far this year are the return of the 2014 James and the strength & form of the bench. All the subs have been making a significant positive contribution when called upon. O'Brien is on fire at the moment. In Killian's defence, he had nowhere else to go with that sideline; it was crying out for somebody to show but fellas had switched off.
