Seen Jimmy Keane from Brosna is the new Kerry Junior manager.
Who would be worth looking at? A few of the U21 i would think. THe likes of Andrew Barry, Sean O Shea etc We've got a few players the lasr few years from the Juniors so hopefully that will stay the same

Presume Sean O'Shea can't play after playing Club Championship for Kenmare last week? Every year this is asked. How do people not know at this stage. It's only if a player plays with their club in SFC the year before

What do people think the team should be to maximise the development potential of the young players in the county?

Could you imagine how weak the team would be if you were picking from ordinary club players who cant even make a divisional team! Anyway going on from what has been done the last couple of years where they have picked a somewhat u23 team with some few extra with experience you'd be thinking a lot of these players would be in with a shout. Eoghan O Brien Billy Courtney Eamonn Kiely Darren Brosnan Pa Kilkenny Graham O Sullivan Niall Collins David Naughton Daniel O Brien Michéal Foley James Walsh Mike Breen Rob o Sé John Mark Foley Ronan Buckley Jeff O Donoghue killian Spillane Brian Sweeney Matthew O Sullivan Jack Sherwood Thomas Hickey Stephen O Sullivan Philip O Connor Conor Cox Ivan Parker Dara Moynihan Cormac Linnane Sean O Shea David Shaw Leee O Donoghue Not sure who i have ommited that should be there. Strong panel and very young.

Has Jimmy picked his selectors? They would want to closely monitor Divisional teams in Rounds 1 and 2 of Senior County Championship.

By my count 7 players who featured in the league this year had lined out with the Juniors previously.
When you consider all those who would be ineligible for junior because of there club that has to be a very decent return.

I just don't get how people don't get the elebility of this team it's pretty simple stuff to b honest.... if your club not district board is senior and you played championship for one of the 8 senior teams you cannot play... any player from intermediate down this year can play except milltown/castlemaine as they were senior last year.. the other rule is if you the all Ireland non of the team that played in the final the year before can play either...

The eligibility rules are fine, it gives players from the small rural club an added valuable layer of progression.

This is the team from last years final, so anyone who played cant play this year.
Kerry
1. Darragh O’Shea (Ballydonoghue) 2. Fionán Clifford (Waterville) 3. Jason Foley (Ballydonoghue) 4. Cathal Ó Lúing (An Ghaeltacht) 5. Patrick Clifford (Templenoe) 6. Andrew Barry (Na Gaeil) 7. Robert Wharton (Renard) 8. Adrian Spillane (Templenoe) 9. John C. O’Connor (Kerins O’Rahilly’s) 10. Brian Ó Seanacháin (Ballydonoghue) 11. Paul O’Donoghue (St Mary’s – captain) 12. David Foran (St Senan’s) 13. Niall O’Shea (Dromid Pearses) 14. Kieran Hurley (St Pat’s) 15. Sean Michéal Ó Conchúir (An Ghaeltacht) Subs 17. Kevin O’Sullivan (Kenmare) for Clifford (39) 22. Dara Roche (Glenflesk) for Hurley (47) 19. Laurence Bastible (John Mitchels) for Foley (49) 18. Dara O’Shea (Kenmare) for Ó Seanacháin (54) 21. Michael O’Donnell (Austin Stacks) for Spillane (57) 23. Adam Barry (Brosna) for Foran (62)
I actually didn't realise Andrew Barry played last year.
From the U21 team this year the likes of Sean O Shea, Matthew O’Sullivan, Brandon Barrett, Roibeard Ó Sé would be a few off the top of my head.
If he was able to play it would be perfct for Share Ryan to get more experience in goal

Only four counties contesting this years Munster Juniors' with no team from Tipp or Clare.
Cork play Waterford (May 27) and Kerry face Limerick (June 10) - Limerick gave Kerry a heck of a game last year with many feeling Kerry got out of jail to win with a very late goal if memory serves me right.
Have we a squad in training as yet for 2017?

Most counties have many more senior clubs than Kerry, so we do have a bit of an advantage there. Same with our success at Intermediate and Junior Club All Irelands.

There are different eligibility rules for intercounty junior players in different counties. In the majority of counties anyone not involved with the senior intercounty football team is eligible to play junior intercounty football. The rule about playing on the winning team in the final applies to all though.
