This is the one thing that bugged me about Galvin, he never gave anything to Finuge over the years. He now plays with Plunketts. I would be disappointed if I was a Finuge club mate. He was living in Killarney for a while, hardly a long commute! In fairness to Galvin he won a junior and intermediate championship with Finuge. They also played division 1 football while he was there. To say he didn't give anything to Finuge is a bit harsh. I agree in his later years he abandoned the club a bit. The whole Oliver Plunketts thing is to keep him relevant. It's important for his social media platforms. bit harsh on Galvin some lads are here. He is living in Dublin a few years now and married. His work is Dublin based. He was hardly likely to keep travelling down to play club at that stage of his life and sporting career. It was fairly obvious in 2014 when he wasn't with Kerry footballers that he going at it to win one last senior hurling championship medal with Lixnaw. He has a huge say in that hurling win in 2014. It was his 4th senior hurling medal with them. Ditto he has won every medal that Finuge could aspire to in North Kerry and in terms of county junior and intermediate and indeed munster and all ireland ( bar the intermediate all Ireland final loss) as well, a senior championship with Feale Rangers. I suspect if the man was Kerry or Limerick based he would still be playing with Lixnaw and Finuge. He is one of many country lads that play ball in Dublin.
