Very poor representation all round from North Kerry . Similarly poor from South Kerry. Not winning a game at u14/u16 and minor the last few years was bound to take its toll. Bad sign of the times and things to come

Its mostly East Kerry Mid Kerry West Kerry Tralee and Castleisland District. North Kerry have a few. Disappointing from the South but some of them could come good before they reach U17 level. Brendan Kelly from Renard played U14 for Kerry last year.

Eddie Horan centre back ? Personally would have put Ciaran o Reilly from stacks there, been unbelievably solid every time I've seen him

Maybe inside wing forward instead of Adam Donaghue but we must see how they perform Wednesday before making any real judgements

A little surprised Aaron McCarthy (Listry) and Daire Cleary (Laune Rangers) didn't make the panel. Surprised Luka Brosnan isn't a sub. Strong forward line. Interesting midfield. Gammell O'Callaghan and Sean Horan are big losses. The three of them would start if fit. A chance for other fellas to impress.

Best of luck to the minors as they set off on their campaign - hopefully they get a long summer from the competition and thereafter who knows... The Clare game gives them a chance to gel and get over the first game (for most of them) in the county colours in a championship game. Win or lose they get a second day out - the bigger challenge will most likely come in the semi final when they play a winner takes all game with no back door.

I didnt know Deividas played in goals- is that a new thing? No - he has good experience in goals as he has played there in the past.

Very poor representation all round from North Kerry . Here we go again Every year without fail the North Kerry posters moan about not having enough players on teams. As has been pointed out are you just as worried by the lack of South Kerry players?

Major scatter of clubs represented on this years minor team, squad and panel. 14 different clubs on the first 15 with Na Gaeil the only club with two on the team. 16 clubs in the match day 24 and 20 clubs represented in the panel of 33. Three each from Crokes, Stacks and Firies in the full panel.

Not suggesting that more NK lads should be picked - I wouldn't know and I don't particularly care as long as the best lads come through. Jumping to conclusions there, hurlingman.

Na Crocaigh you have some knowledge of the younger players and you seem to be very accurate in fairness to you. I like to think I go to a lot of underage and minor games and would know a fair share of players, especially around the Killarney and East Kerry area but I genuinely do not know half those players. You must go to some amount of matches fair play.

Decent first half with the wind and up 2-10 to 1-0 at half time. Second half was a bit of a shambles with a lot of wide and unstructured play that will leave plenty to talk about. Second half was 6 points each but Kerry won comfortably.
Cork had a big win over Tipp 3-21 to 1-8
Semi final is a crucial game with the loser finished for the season.
