What happens if a team gets relegated from Senior Club but wins Senior County! Yeah I always thought it was based on county championship performance

I presume the other team in the Relegation Final would go down instead. Seems a fair system. To get relegated from Senior you would have to lose three games and you still have an outside chance to save yourself by winning the County Championship.
On the other hand the Intermediate and Junior relegation is decided by the lowest final league position of the teams that lost in the first round. So at the moment Gneeveguilla, St Michaels Foilmore and Brosna will all be focusing on the league over the coming months in case they drop down to Junior Premier

Prob will be Kilcummin that will get relegated but it'd be nice to see Stacks go down!

Ah Stacks are a huge club, I would miss the rivalry and atmosphere if they were to be relegated.

Many referees and umpires are unreliable to say the least. Saying that, it is a thankless job and I don't know how they do it so they must take some credit. The standard at inter county level is appalling, so it is inevitable that the standard is poorer again at lower levels unfortunately. How did the county lads do? Steven O Brien and Moran did not play? Neither of them played. Jack Savage was excellent, Sean O'Shea was very good particularly in the first half. Tommy Walsh did a lot of damage. Didn't have a program but presume Paul O'Connor was 14 for Kenmare, whoever the 14 was anyway was very good. Probably between the first two for best on show. Does jack savages younger brother play football. I saw him a few years ago playing hurling in the feile with ardfert and he was totally fearless....a valuable transferrable thing to have

He came off the bench late on the last day. He's about 19 I think now so I'd expect him to be carving out a starting position in the next year or so. Fearless is definitely the word for him. I remember my first time seeing him play when he was a young kid and thinking he was a lunatic because he seemed to be putting his head in places I wouldn't put a foot looking to win ball! He's a skillful lad as well so a good prospect, lacking a couple of inches in height would be the only thing.

Don't be too surprised if Rathmore win Club Championship, Some quality young players coming through.

Interesting to see the Dublin county board taking players interests into account when fixing championship games. Most games on a Friday evening or Saturday. Unlike our hierarchy fixing games for 6 o clock on the Sunday evening/ Monday of a bank holiday

Rathmore overcame Kilcummin tonight in Rathbeg. Rathmore probobly the better team but Kilcummin did well to get back in the game after being 8-10 points down. Rathmore slams Crokes Sunday should be a great game.

Rathmore slams Crokes Sunday should be a great game. Rathmore were up 2-7 to 0-2 (11 points) at one point after about 10 minutes but Kilcummin got it back to level in injury time but Rathmore got a point in injury time to get the win. Crokes v Rathmore should be a cracker all right. Rathmore absolutely relish playing the Crokes lads. Relegation Play off Draw: Kilcummin vs Dingle or Legion Austin Stacks vs Kerins O Rahilly's Austin Stacks will play Kerins O’Rahillys on Sunday 30th April in Austin Stack Park Tralee at 6pm Dingle and Killarney Legion will replay their Round 1 game on Sunday next 30th April in Dingle at 2:30pm. Rathmore play Dr Crokes on Sunday 30th April next in Fitzgerald Stadium at 2:30pm. Kenmare Shamrocks play the winners of the Dingle V Killarney Legion replay on Sunday May 7th at 2:30pm at a venue to be confirmed.

Bit of an understatement re Stacks - they were abysmal versus Crokes - it was the kind of performance that would make you think they might never win a football match again - Rahillys by all accounts did turn in a performance against Kenmare, so based on that Stacks to win.

Think Rathmore could beat Crokes tomorrow. Dingle should have enough for a home win.

I want to go to one of these tomorrow but not sure which. Think Stacks v Rahillys might provide best entertainment if not football. Could Dingle and Legion serve up the same again? Crokes v Rathmore another tight one I'd say......

Think Rathmore could beat Crokes tomorrow. Dingle should have enough for a home win. Crokes looked a side who were still getting over the All-Ireland win last weekend. They were missing 5 starters from the final. Ambrose should be back but I don't know about any of the others. Would definitely think Rathmore have a great chance especially if Aidan is back.

Crokes beat Rathmore by 5 and Legion went west and came away winners by 1 against Dingle. Kenmare play Legion with Crokes waiting for the winners for the club championship 2017

Stacks seemed hungrier in every area. Went in at half time with a good lead and never looked like losing it. Rahillys are in a dogfight now!

Crokes too good for Rathmore in second half. Rathmore got 1-1 in first few minutes and played effectively against a strong wind in the first half. Crokes had some poor wides as they struggled to fully take advantage of the wind.
Crokes were very impressive in second half against the wind. Kieran O Leary came on at centre forward and Crokes took over. Gavin White drove forward even though sometimes he can be poor in execution. Alan O Sullivan played as sweeper and did well with Rathmore's attempts to play long ball to Shane Ryan and John Moynihan.
The penalty was harsh but justified with a small tug on Jordan Kiely who did well. The understanding and class of o Leary, gooch and looney is always a joy to watch and a main reason that Crokes won
Paul Murphy was disappointing and Rathmore have problems at midfield in terms of size and physicality in the absence of Aidan. Over time Mark Ryan looks impressive enough to fill this void.
Rathmore could still cause problems for Crokes before the year is out as they still have the ability and game plan to frustrate Crokes which was evident at times espicially in the first half.

Kerins O'Rahillys are a step closer to playing in the Intermediate Championship in 2018 after a terrible performance this evening against Austin Stacks. They were wiped out in the middle of the field Gary Kissane was a massive loss for them in Goals. I don't claim to know anything about the young lad whi was in goals but he was clearly out of his depth. Every kickout went to his left and Stacks won i'd estimate 75% of their kickouts. He went short maybe twice all game and one of those times chipped it into Shane O'Callaghan's arms after changing his mind late. I was amazed that the management didn't have some plan in place to go short. Mannix was a joy to watch of frees. Himself and Guthrie were the standout players along with Jack Morgan for me. BJK, Savage and Moran really struggled to get into the game. Donaghy look way off as well but managed to nulify Moran to some extent and when he went off Moran stormed back into the game, but far too late. I felt like Coffey did a good job on Calaghan for most of the game. Stacks didn't do anything spectacular but appeared to have a clear plan in place. Lads knew what their job was and they executed. The Narries looked headless. Don't know why BJK took the penalty over Moran. Good save regardless. T.Walsh injured again. He should have been taken off after 20mins. He could barely walk and they dragged him out around the middle. Hard to see Stand Road beating Dingle or Kilcummin on that showing. In fact they would have lost to a good number of Intermediate teams last night with a performance like that. Stacks look big around the middle, but missed a good number of chances in the first half to kill off the game. McCarthy and (number 12 who's name escapes me) broke through excellently for goal chances only to blaze wide in almost exactly the same way.

Think you are unfair in your criticism of the young keeper - doing his leaving in June and has been an excellent underage keeper for the club. Has little experience at senior level but has all the qualities to be a great keeper - stepped into the breach when Gary was ruled out. The KOR team did not produce the goods and many senior players need to up their game - with the large number of new younger players breaking into the senior team the lack of playing time with those on intercounty duty has been a problem. Will take a while for them all to learn to trust one another and gel.

Any thoughts on Dingle/Legion game I thought Dingle would come through this but Legion must be stronger than I originally thought.

Kenmare play Legion in Fitzgerald stadium tomorrow with the winners to play Crokes in the Club Final. Has the Kilcummin V Dingle game been fixed as yet to see who plays Rahillys in the trap door game.

Good win by Kenmare - the Rahillys result was no flash on the pan.
Kenmare V Crokes will be a novel pairing in the club champion final.
Kilcummin play Rahillys in the drop game.
