No excuses Crokes well beaten. Dingle always in control. Solid Dingle team. No real weak links. Good bench also. If they can keep them around Dingle will win the Senior Championship soon. They have some good players right down to u14s this year also so the future is bright for them. They should win the Final.

Was at the kenmare Kireans game , kenmare were down patrick Clifford Steven sullivan and John mark foley but to b honest the score board doesn't read a true reflection in the game Kireans could of easy of had 5/6 goals and another 5/6 points on top of it think they hit wood work at least 5 times nice team but dingle will take stopping and u can never write off South Kerry

Is there anywhere where the Kerry County Minor Championship roll of honour can be found? Have been looking for this without success for the past 2-3 years - terrible pity that the county website does not have a history section. I think the older web-site did?

Any predictions on tonight's match? Should be a cracker in Killorglin. South Kerry appear to be strong enough. The general consensus is that they have the same buy in as the seniors and good structures in place. Don't know much about the Kieran's team, apparently strong around the middle with a lot of physical strength

This was definitely a match of two halves! Kieran's were faster to the ball and much slicker in attack in the first half. South Kerry just weren't at the races. Not sure what was said at half time but South Kerry came out like a team possessed. Kieran's only scored one point in the second half and South Kerry's superior fitness told as they finished very strong. Final score St. Kieran's 2-09 South Kerry 2-14. The men from the south will give Dingle a good rattle I'd say!

south kerrys slow start might have had something to do with the fact they had to warm up in glenbeigh due to a blitz being on the field before hand... bit farcical in a co u21 semi final to have to sit on a bus for 20 mins after a warm up...

Would have been the same for St. Kieran's. Better team won on the night.

bit of an over reaction by south kerry management , laune rangers under age girls have field from 6pm to 7pm every wednesday and they dont use all of main pitch , they finished early (6.30) yesterday to accomadate match , the bottom field was free all evening which is always used for warm ups in double header games which is nearly as big as back field in fitzgerald stadium .

It was an exhilarating match from start to finish. South Kerry were undone my defensive mix ups and poor decision making which cost them 2 goals. Kieran's could have been in for a few more goals if things went their way. South Kerry got a much needed goal but still trailed by 6 at half time. South Kerry exploded out of the blocks in the 2nd half. Even though they lost Robert Whatthon to a black card, South Kerry seemed to be bringing more quality from the bench. Their slick interplay up front as well as the relocation of target man Matthew Sullivan to full forward paid dividends. The 2nd South Kerry goal came directly from a long ball into their target man. South Kerry played out the game with composure as Kieran's seemed to run out of legs

South Kerry definitely had the stronger bench and superior fitness. Great to watch a match where both teams went at it and tried to play football. Plenty of 30-40 yard kick passes and attacking football.

South Kerry are U-21 champions for the first time since 2010 after a well deserved win over favourites Dingle on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-12 points played in Austin Stack Park tonight. Dingle lined out without Mark O'Connor and in truth he was a huge loss to them overall; they played some lovely football with the breeze however in the first half with their forwards proving a handful for the SK backs who resorted to fouling in an effort to stem the tide- Cathal O'Bambaire however was unerring from frees and when he kicked over his fourth point on the 22nd minute to leave Dingle ahead by 5 ( 0-8 to 0-3) it looked like the men from the west would kick on for their first title; however in a remarkable turnaround, Dingle were not to score again until the 14th minute of the second half and in that time conceded 2-8 which left SK in an unassailable position; the catalyst for their comeback was wing back Rob Wharton who thundered into the game around the middle, aided by the strong midfield partnership of Matthew O'Sullivan and Mark Sugrue but it was the half line of Cournane, O'Shea and Sam O'Dwyer who did the damage- at half time SK had sneaked into a one point lead, 1-6 to 0-8, the goal coming from corner forward Diarmuid Keating after good work by O'Dwyer.
On the resumption Dingle needed to fight back, but it was impressive substitute Darragh O'Sullivan who was now making hay and he kicked three points from play to send SK on their way; another goal from corner forward Dylan O'Donoghue ensured the cup was heading south.
Dingle will have no complaints on the night but they will be wondering about their collapse midway in the first half and what might have been had Mark O'Connor been available.

How did Barry o Sullivan play

How did Barry o Sullivan play Poor surprised with all the hype about him. Marc Connor is much better player! Barry is not much of an upgrade on the current midfielders we have at Senior panel. Unless he would improve but his stature and style is similar to that of Anthony maher. Quite slow.

I don't think mark Connor is worth 9 points to any team , dingle were not good enough and had no team spirit and gave up when south Kerry went ahead of them , never write off south Kerry football and don't be saying one player is going to make a difference , south Kerry were missing minor and under 21 Brian sugrue so stop mentioning mark o Connor Greengold35 is just saying what might have been! Said nothing about 9 points. But fact is Marc o Connor is an outstanding player and it's not the 9 points he'd turn around but he'd be a leader. He'd change the way they play. Would be totally different game.

It's already a proven fact that if your not from dingle or east Kerry your will never be noticed but this victory is for the lads competing in division 4 and 5 and keeping club football alive in south Kerry and by the way if south Kerry had Brian sugrue it would be a different game aswell , it proves south Kerry football is not looked at as there were only 2 players on today's team that were under 21s , no one looks at south Kerry but by god they proved all of Kerry wrong today , get out of mark o Connor for yourself he's worth no 9 points , all these Kerry players that dingle had today were beaten by better players from south Kerry , south Kerry have heart and determination and south Kerry football is the home of football well done to south Kerry on yet another victory for the division. But relax a small bit. They beat a CLUB in the final who are doing Trojan work in developing players also. A great achievement for a CLUB to be up there in an under 21 championship against divisional sides. As for South Kerry players being ignored and not looked at - get out of the garden will you. Peter Keane a South Kerryman over the minors, Jack O'Connor with the 21s, Declan O'Sullivan has been with Jack with teams. So get on to your own crowd if you feel they are ignoring their own. I doubt they are ignoring players from South Kerry oR anywhere else - they will pick the best to go on the field for the county.

South Kerry were given no chance tonight everyone was writing them off... Who wrote them off?

South Kerry were given no chance tonight everyone was writing them off and if you look at the Kerry minors and under 21 it's always only 1 or 2 players picked, that's exactly why I'm saying they don't look at players from south Kerry Conor Shea from town should have been an undeR 21 I hope jack Connor was watching with his selectors today and I'm sure he knows he should have had more players from south Kerry on the panel that would have made a difference south Kerry weren't given a chance by anyone but by god did they prove that tonight, as I said south Kerry is the home of football!!!! And don't mind mentioning mark Connor south Kerry were missing there star player Brian sugrue !!!!! End of now and give south Kerry credit for once! Presumably you were born in 97. Take the win and lie down will you.

Give South Kerry credit for once? The largest and most heralded district of the last decade-laughable!
Do you think the CIA are coming for you aswell?
