allyduff and Kilmoyley clash in Hurling Final Replay All roads lead to Austin Stack Park again on this Saturday, 24th Sept. for the replay of the Garvey’s SuperValu Co. senior hurling championship final between Ballyduff and Kilmoyley. This is only the second time ever that a Co. Senior Championship Final has been played on a Saturday – the Lixnaw v Kilmoyley replay in 2014 was the previous occasion. The winners go on to compete in the Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship on Sunday, 6th November with an away game against the Clare or Limerick Intermediate Champions.
Throw in time is 5.00p.m. Patrons are requested to come early and the ticket van will be in operation as usual. Admission is at the reduced rate of €12 with OAPs and Students €8. As usual, juveniles under 16 are free. As this is a stand alone fixture, patrons are advised to pre-purchase tickets to avoid congestion at the ticket vans. Tickets can be pre-purchased at participating Supervalu and Centra stores throughout the county including Garveys Supervalu stores and Ross’s Centra in Ballyduff. Referee for the replay is Dave Copps of Cork.

Well done to Kilmoyley on a comprehensive win and just goes to show the strides we have made in this code. I understand that Monaleen were only intermediate champions but they overcame the Clare champions and both will be competing in next years Senior championships in their respective counties. Kilmoyley and a few other Kerry teams could possibly hold their own in these senior championships.

Great win by Kilmoyley yesterday, will be up against it in the final though.
Also good tp note, two Kerry players playing outside the county. Darragh O'Connell playing well again up in Dublin, also P J Connolly from Ballyduff with Ballyea again had a good game with them.
Would it be worth trying to get these lads on the Kerry panel? More over O Connell

Great win for Kilmoyley
Lixnaw, Ballyduff and Kilmoyley have all won games now in the Munster Intermediate in recent times but the outright title has eluded them. Perhaps this will be the breakthrough at championship level. Kilmoyley won a Munster Senior Hurling League title in 2003 beaten a number of quality senior Cork clubs laden with big name Cork hurlers at the time. Long time ago now, but they had no fear of big names back then, so maybe likewise this time around, they can get the better of stalwarts like Maurice and Dan Shanahan. The final in Mallow should draw a big attendance. A few years back the attendance at the Ballyduff v Effin Munster Intermediate Final was bigger than that at the senior final on the same day!
Kilgarvan put a decent display v the Waterford champions in the junior before losing. They have a few nice young hurlers who have potential to be options for Kerry in the main John Mark Foley and Patrick Shea

Munster IHC Final
Lismore 2-14 Kilmoyley 0-13
Hard luck to Kilmoyley. Incredibly, Daniel Collins was their only scorer. Maurice shanahan bagged 1-9 for Lismore.
